Hi guys,somehow i dont know maybe it is a placebo effect but my 800 (Automech FFE+K&N SRF) seems to perform better when i drive it during the evening rather than on a hot afternoon.

100% there is a diffrence. The car is more peppy driving in a cold evening or in a chill night than driving it in a hot summer afternoon!

I guess this can be explained by thermal efficiency of an ICE which is the maximum efficiency an ICE can achieve viz,
(Te-Ta)/Ta
e= engine temperature
a= ambient temperature
Lesser the ambient temperature more will be efficiency of the ICE for similar load/speed/throttle conditions.

Hi Guys,

from team-bhp threads i gathered some info. on K&N air filter for zen and came to the conclusion that there are 3 variants available for zen.

rx-4140 (extreme)
ru-2990 (performance)
ru-3550 (performance)

can some tell me which is the best thing to put on for an 2002 mpfi zen.

i'm planning for rx-4140, but will that prove to be too much for zen?

Rx-4140

Hi folks,

Thinking of going for the RX-4140 for my Wagon R. Will it be appropriate?

Also, getting Iridium IX spark plugs.

Please advise soon.

Hi!

It is imperative to get as cold air as possible. In my Sonata, there is more-than-a-perceptible difference with the K&N CIS intake, with the CAI pipe on & off. When i floor the throttle, i get a MUCH BETTER kick with the CAI pipe on the filter.

Guys

I am planning to install a universal K&N on my Stock OHC Vtec (2001, 66k).
I use the car a lot and hence am concerned about the FE.
Do let me know if this is a right/wrong choice. Also plz suggest better solutions if you can think of any.

I was looking for a K&N stock filter replacement for my SX4, but K&N does not have a air filter for SX4 yet. Can somebody suggest me the best CAI system for SX4?
