No worries. I got a full refund. You can claim after 25 working days if your order doesn't arrive.
Even with the international signed shipping, it works out cheaper to import from UK. I'm now looking at i4detailing.co.uk since they have flat rate of 10GBP. Have been doing window shopping since morning to find more supplies to justify the shipping cost. No luck till now :P

Re: All about Car Polishing

Tried some Meguiars products today and I'm happy with the results. First washed the car with Meguiars Nxt Car Wash and then polished with Meguiars Ultimate polish. Didn't find time to apply the Meguiars Nxt Tech Wax 2.0. Will apply it tomorrow or whenever I find some time.

So you have also been bitten by the detailing bug then ?
You car is looking good with the polish. Wax should help protect and add some shine too. Do apply it asap would be my suggestion.

Yes . It all started when my cousin applied Collinite 845 last year on my car. The result was amazing. It lasted for a long time. But I really didn't get time last year to try detailing. I have some free time now on weekends and hence trying all these stuff.

Wow! Impressive results there. Black car reflects like not other. I'm happy you chose the DIY route. Your efforts will keep your car's paint in great shape

Re: All about Car Polishing

Do these products have an expiry date? I bought a Collinite 845 in '11, can I still continue to use it?

On 31st January, without any signs of the package in sight, and after inquiring with the local post office, I sent an email to spautopia about the non receipt of the ordered items. They were prompt to give me a refund within 3-4 hours.

Now today the package arrives intact - 6 weeks after the order was placed!

I have mailed spautopia so that they charge me back, as I did receive the items, be it a few days late.

Well I am using a bottle of Collinite 845 bought in August 2010, and I am not yet halfway through!

I got my refund from Spautopia and got my pads from the US. I hope the package from spautopia doesn't show up now.

Re: All about Car Polishing

Hello people,

Today I couldn't find a place in the basement parking lot at office, so had to park my car at the visitor's parking (open area). I came back in the evening and to my horror, there were water spots on both windshield and paint..!!
Initially I thought it had rained and dried up. But on reaching home I observed that the spots were territorial (bonnet, windshield, RHS door) and are very stubborn.
I tried to get rid of them by doing a quick UWWP wipe on the affected area but couldn't remove it completely. On the paint, I can see it from an angle. The state of windshield is even worse.
The only water spots that I had known were those caused by hard water sitting on the car for few days and getting baked. But I had not known case where the stains become stubborn in a matter of just 6 hours. :(

How can this be corrected completely (prefer a method which doesn't require polishing). Any product specifically for this?

Appreciate any help. Thanks in advance.

Re: All about Car Polishing

if waterspots are kind of etched on clear coat, you need to polish it. Same polish can be applied to glass as well. Always leave a coat of sealant and wax to keep it protected after polishing.
