We have a Car Detailer now in Mumbai - Ace Pro Touch, Jogeshwari, Mumbai.

I am getting my 2012 model Honda City getting detailed and will keep posting pictures as the work progresses.

Ceramic coating products being used are from Max Protect, UK.

I havent tried Diamond Brite so cant comment. But Car Pro is ceramic based and forms a very hard layer giving all the benefits associated with DB and much more. No special shampoos or maintenance required. Costing is related to the paint condition, so suggest you contact Abdul@ Ace Pro Touch. I paid 18k and it took 5 days.

However, I have learnt it the hard way that matching your level of glossy finishing is next to impossible.
Even I had purchased the same wax based on advice obtained here itself. Really good stuff!!

OMG! 'Only' three layers?? Damn! I am too lazy to do much pre detailing let alone apply multiple layers of wax but I do reapply the wax every two weeks. Of course, my car already has a lot of swirl marks so I can't get great results but I am glad I took the advice to buy this wax. It really gives the colour depth and makes it pop out.

I too use the same applicator as mentioned by @sunnyboi. Great wax!

Superb finish Darth Sid!
I too have ordered M26 & Meguiar's supreme shine MF cloth, going by all the positive reviews here.

Wanted to know: should the quality of applicator pad make a difference in the result.

Thank you!

I am not sure if the applicator pad will make that much of a difference in the result. The quality should not be bad enough to damage the clear coat. All that is needed is a means to apply the wax evenly. It is the technique of application that matters. I just make sure not to apply too much of the wax in one application. In any case, I am a newbie with this too.

I too follow this system. I use Optimum Car Wax. Been very happy with the convenience of a spray wax, and it lasts a good 2/3 months on my car.

Your Xuv looks great!!

paytm has been running good discount and cashback deals on automotive products for some time now.
I have picked the Jopasu duster, Meguiar's applicator pads, 3M Microfiber cloth, etc. from them and have been pleased with the products and delivery.
Some of the products I purchase were for 25% or above discount/cashback.

Jopasu seems to be selling their products directly on paytm, and a vast range of their products is listed.

PS: I am just a happy customer of paytm, and am not associated with them in anyway.

Thanks for the information. Just ordered Jopasu duster + MF cloth combo for Rs. 555 (paid Rs. 838 including Rs. 29 shipping and Rs. 283 cash back) for my brother in law. I had bought one from ebay last month at around 700 with some discount coupon. Rs. 555 is a real good deal.

I selected the seller "jopasucarcare" which is the Jopasu company itself (same seller sells on ebay).

Re: All about Car Waxes & Sealants

Just bought some Meguiar's goodies for my car:

a) Gold Class Carnauba wax
b) Ultimate Wax
c) Meguiar's supreme shine MF towel
d) Ultimate Polish (bl***y expensive)
e) Ultimate Conditioner
f) Ultimate Compound
g) Ultimate Wash and Wax (thanks to Pune's growing water problem)

I've been using Megs products (NXT wax, NXT wash, towels, mitts etc) since 2007. While some products are really expensive and dare I say even overpriced in this country, they're also the best I've used even when compared to top end Turtle Wax, Formula 1 and Mothers products which were in my repertoire of car care products in the past. You can't get better than Megs IMHO.

Hi SunnyBoi,

I am using same wax after your feedback, however I am not sure about correct procedure of applying multiple coats. Could you please help with the process and whether this is more effective than applying wax once a month. My car is parked in an open parking hence I cannot rely completely on dusting and water-less wash. After each shampoo wash I have to reapply wax.

Regards.

I waited a day between each coat. Multiple coats usually enhance the look and add maybe a little bit more to the durability aspect. It's not mandatory for multiple coats if you're sure you covered all the areas in the first coat. If you have free time, try multiple coats and see if the change in look, if any, is worth the additional effort and decide.

Use a good car shampoo that is wax safe and you don't have to re apply wax after every wash. M26 should last 3 weeks to a month in Indian conditions.

Sorry for late reply on this.
The Duster can be reconditioned using Jopasu Car Duster Rejuvenator costing Rs.449/-. I have not personally used it. But Jopasu claims that the Duster can be "Rejuvenated" 3 times with a single bottle.
