That's one option, but you can install an A/C easily under the seat. This car that Im talking about had everything done up properly. Even the huge blower inside would only take about 30-40% or the passenger side knee (height) space which is great because then you can have an A/C in an Omni

Sorry for rebringing this thread up!

But, I have a 1997 model Omni, and it's been fitted with the old National a/c which was there on my papa's old fiat. It worked at that time for few years, until 2002 or 2003, when the Omni started giving problems related to the car's engine temperature. It would always go up in the overheated zone with a/c, be it city or highway. We gave it to Maruti so many times for check, they couldn't rectify it. Also, that time the mileage used to be gud even with a/c. Now its very bad even without a/c and many engine tune-ups. So the a/c is not used now. It also leaks the gas too quickly.

The battery of the Omni gets drained so fast and also the engine has gone weak said the Maruti guy few times.

i did have AC fitted on my omni, i think it was of some popular brand i dont know which one it was. some people here have bought the name up though...
