MMI sells maps for Garmin devices at Rs 7000. Not sure if it will suit your device. You can chat live with their customer care they can help you i think.

Difference i found out before purchasing VX-140

* VX-140 you can view .avi movies copying your movies into SD card. but Garmin 215w does not support video.

Apart from Video playing facility of VX-140 i feel all other main features are pretty much same.

Before i purchased i had made detailed enquiry with MMI about this seller and i got information from MMI that autoworld08 is MMI's Channel partner. So you can buy with confidence. I registered the VX-140 in MMI website also successfully.
Thanks a lot nairrk, shamanth.
With in a week time i will decide on this. Will update you guys.

Placed order for one MMI VX140 and expected the product to reach in couple of days. Shall revert more details once I recieve the Navigator.

I am planning to buy a GPS device for my Punto. I dont need the bluetooth and all but video player if there is good. PLease suggest whether to go for MMI or SatNav with Garmin or Nuvi. If precise model the better. Also what screen size is easy eniugh to use.

I came to know that MMI is having tie up with GM dealers. Saturday i spoke with Kropex and they told me they are dealing with MMI products. Today morning got a call from MMI marketing guy, he came to my office for a demo. I am looking for VX140. He showed me some quick demo. The price he quoted is 14990, but i will get some discount from dealers that's what he told me.
Today evening i am going to Kropex to find more details.
Shall revert with more details.

Why is garmin 215W with MMI maps priced more than mapmyindia vx140 even though vx140 offers video/music playback while 215W doesn't? Only the brand factor, or is 215w a better GPS device?

As far as I know, it is like a Nokia or SE compared to a Chinese phone with every feature in the world included. Garmin is one of the most reputed GPS devices.

You need to export it to GPX. That GPX can be converted to KML or other formats once on laptop.

Are you trying to export tracks or POIs ?

EDIT : This is done via : Tools->Manage my data->Select "My Locations" or "Tracks" and press "Manage" on lower left to Import / Export GPX.

Doesnt work for either! :(
Manage only gives options for new location, or delete all. Does not have anything for import/export GPX.

You are opening "My Locations" or "Tracks".

Instead of opening these, just select it and then press "Manage" on that screen.
