Actually I have put a new Samsung Fast Charger (ordered from Ali Express) in one of the 12V DC Outlets in the middle row. I shall surely remove it and see if the problem gets solved. Hope the problem is solved. Please pray.

Once you have eliminated that, you can do the troubleshooting.
Sorry but forgive my lack of technical knowledge, what to check the battery for.. all other electricals (and even LHS Blinkers) are doing just fine

Low voltage, a loose terminal causing fluctuations etc. Just something basic to rule out as a first step before troubleshooting any electrical issue.

Just remove it and drive for 2- 3 kms. Your issue will be 100% resolved.

I am damn sure Fast charger is the cause of the problem. it is drawing more current from the battery and hence, the RHS indicator and dashboard route is not getting enough current.

All the best. Let us know once it is resolved

Thanks. I hope the problem gets solved. I will update soon.
FYI, yesterday the problem cropped up even when the phone was not plugged into the charger. Maybe the charger is faulty and creating havoc. Just hope it is a minor problem.

Sad news. The problem still persists after removing the fast charger. Tomorrow, I will start the process of disengaging the blinker lights one-by-one to see if there is a minor shot circuit somewhere.

Mostly the issue is with the ORVM blinker. Out of those few Leds one of the Led is having short circuit and disturbing the entire right side indicators.

But the question is how will you remove the connection of ORVM blinker and check.

I guess this can be done by removing the coupler for entire ORVM and disengaging it for a few days to check. Today morning removed the bulb of the front RHS blinker, somehow the problem didnt crop up during the drive to the office this morning (approx. 5-6 kms) with me constantly keeping the RHS turn indicator on for checking. If it resurfaces then shall remove the rear light blinker and check and then proceed towards the ORVM turn signal..

I really appreciate the help being rendered to me on this forum. As a proud owner of the XUV since early 2012, I strongly feel its a good VFM product and vouch for the Mahindra and XUV brand. Thankfully my vehicle has been niggle free all these years but this peculiar problem is now bothering me.

Providing an update to the above issue - getting plastic burning smell from A/C in the initial 20 sec after switching ON. Now issue looks to be fixed after multiple visits to service center.

1) first visit - cleaned A/C filter and spray in A/C vents. But issue returned
2) second visit - adjusted blower position. Again issue returned

After the second visit, got frustrated and raised to customer care.

3) third visit - They kept vehicle for 5 days for thorough check of A/C. Identified a problem with A/C resistor and replaced it free of cost within warranty.

This was almost 1 week back and issue hasn't returned yet. Hopefully it is fixed for good.

So niggles still continue in the 2018 version as well..

Re: Mahindra XUV500 niggles & solutions

I own a 2015 XUV W10. I have a peculiar problem while using the car Bluetooth for my phone calls. When I place a call while in the car and the phone is connected via Bluetooth, the initial 30 seconds of the call are not audible or barely audible to the person on the other side. People on the other side tell me that I sound like i am far away and calling out from the bottom of a well.

After 30 seconds or so, it starts working fine. I have looked at other forums on TBhp and found one post from another owner who has the same problem. I could not find any real solution to this issue. Has anyone faced this issue and if you have fixed it can you let me know how? I have not yet reported this to the service center but I suspect they would have no clue as is the case most of the time.

Is your phone microphone muted?

That would be the first thing you can check.

iPhones specially have volumes for Bluetooth distinct from say the ringer volume.

No the microphone is not muted. It does start working fine after about 30 seconds without me doing anything. I wonder if the software is buggy which is leading to this situation. I will check for an upgrade of the software during my next service. Thank you for the response.

Connect some other phone and make a phone call. If everything works fine your phone needs a reset and if still it doesn't solve the issues, the ICE needs a software reset.

Re: Mahindra XUV500 niggles & solutions

My XUV500 W8 will be 4 years old by 1st Dec. Drove 52k+ KM so far. Two current problems (apologies - searched only for clutch sound in this thread - didnt find any posts)
1) each time I release clutch, there is a small metallic click sound audible for last 3-4 months. Reported to TVS OMS Service center as many times - they merely say it is nothing. Is it really nothing?
2) For about a month now, my Android phone pairs with the entertainment system over bluetooth - but is erratic. Of late, it shows as paired (phone and music both) but am unable to call out / receive over car audio. Sometimes, while the car is moving, if I stop and restart the entertainment system, calls / music pairing works.
Not always. Again, no concrete solution from TVS OMR.
When I pushed hard, they said they can remove it and send it to some specialist service center in Chennai for a week. Next solution was that I should remove some of the phones that were earlier registered.

I guess that is first sign of slave cylinder about to go kaput. Do check at another service center too.
