Honda Civic - Technical Specifications & Feature List
Team-BHP will now be uploading the full feature list and technical specifications of each car sold in India. This information isn't readily available; even manufacturer websites sometimes don't present all the data (intentionally), while the fancy formats they use make for poor readability. Then, we have some manufacturers who tend to confuse you by listing a
glovebox as a feature!! Lastly, the official websites don't follow any standard display order as such, which can make comparisons across cars very difficult.
Team-BHP will follow a standard, easy-to-refer-to format across all Indian cars. With time, this data will be transferred to an interactive website section.
IMP : Please list out any errors in the following sheet; your contribution will greatly help the community, other BHPians & guests. You can point out corrections on this thread itself. Thank you!

Second image has Honda "City".
Fold-down rear seat, split rear seat and Steering mounted controls are not present in civic.

Steering mounted controls are there in Civic 1.5 VT at least; had checked it out in Sept last year.
sgiitk too mentioned about the lack of steering controls in my City ownership thread. Guess it has been introduced some time last year.
And yes, 2nd sheet has City written on it.

The audio controls are mounted on rear arm rest and not on steering and it has not changed yet. The steering has cruise control controls though.
The Civic does have A/C vents under the front seats for air throw at the rear. I dont know how that can be classified though.
The Civic has a i-VTEC SOHC engine and not DOHC as the spec sheet states.
Max torque as per Honda site was 175 Nm.
Fuel tank size is 55 litres if I remember correctly.
Also, the rear seat split and steering mounted controls are absent in the Civic as mentioned above already.
I still have my doubts on the 170mm GC that Honda has been claiming (ever since the Altis was launched).

Yes.
@Stratos, you haven't checked (Y) the AC column in the spreadsheet.

GC is 170mm, but due to the large wheelbase(2700MM) & soft rear suspension, CIVIC will bottom out in big roadhumps and scrape underbelly royally sometimes.

Yea, 1.8. I read City in the 2nd sheet and had 1.5 in mind! (The City in the 2nd sheet was a typo that has now been corrected).
I'd seen that just the cruise control buttons are mounted; but since those are indeed mounted on the steering, mentioned so.
About the Y for A/c, there is a Y for ACC; hence no Y for A/c. (I'd asked the same doubt for another car, hence know the reason :) )
Not relevant to this thread but can the information be made available in text format instead of images. A prespective buyer can benefit from text info as he/she can copy it in a spreadsheet for quick comparision.

As per the Honda website, the torque is 17.5 Kgm which is approximately 172 Nm and fuel tank as per the Honda website is 50 L.
@Stratos - Great initiative.
Regarding the brakes - the front is ventilated discs. Tank is 50L
Should the other features such as door protectors with silver inserts, body colored/silver door handles, rear reading lights etc not get covered/listed as well ?
the S-MT does not come with fog-lights.
