It actually helped me remove the squeak off the wiper operation. Blades used to miss some spots and they were not hardened though.

After application it helped me remove the glare too. I agree it might hamper (in logic), but thin coat of insulator wax hasn't hindered anything yet.

When you say mirror polishing, does it mean using abrasive polishing ?

For ages sounds good to me; so that will be on my next shopping list. The thing I'm little apprehensive is, despite a sealant's or wax's protection, I don't think a waterspot will matter, but then, not sure how much of this product will be put to good use. I'm open for any alternative options as well. Not that I say Carpro is expensive, but, a waterspot removal solution as a whole.

It does not; have been using C845 since 2013 on my WagonR & it has never let down. Matter of fact, it becomes easy to clean especially on helmet's visor in removing the dead bugs & keeping off water. Also to an extent the water repels off from windshield. I'm infact using a sealant to keep the water off, easiest to apply with highest durability. But then, use the wiper like 10-15 times, **boom** the sealant/wax is shortlived

Yes, by using products like ceriglass.

Just asking out of little laziness to search, wouldn't this buffing remove a nano cm or whatsoever unit of layer from the glass? Wouldn't that affect the light to scatter irregularly in the night?

And wouldn't the coating (assume its nano coating on glass) wipe away on using wipers?

The description states that it will not distort glass.

Yes, the coating shall be diminished with wiper use.

Any idea how to remove mild scratches from Piano black finishes? The dashboard on my city has a couple of scratches already on them.

Try this mild one first, not sure if it's available in India, you might've to import. But this is mild abrasive polish which should be very safe


If not, then you try this one, this should be available in India which is slightly, slightly harsh than CleanX, but still very mild compared to ScratchX

I recently acquired the Meguiar's D55107 DA power system kit which includes:

1) Microfibre towels,
2) Meguiars ultimate polish
3) Ultimate wax
4) Ultimate compound
5) DA tool
6) DA wax pad
7) DA polish pad
8) DA compound pad

Could anyone please suggest a 3/8 inch drill?

Are you looking for a corded or cordless drill? Better buy a light cordless drill.

Also - are you planning to detail your entire car or just nooks and crannies with this DA power system?

I had bought and used the DA power system, but it's just too hard to hold a drill for so long to detail the entire car.
So bought a Kestrel DAS 6 pro and has been using it since. I also bought a small 3 inch backing plate to use the small pads that came with the DA power system.

The DA power system handle + bearing + backing plate is now lying unused.

I am open to anything.

I need to detail the entire car as it is over 5 years old and looks tired with swirl marks, water marks.

Is the 3 inch backing plate used as an interface between the Kestrel DAS 6 pro and the Meguiars pads?

Could you please share your experience with Kestrel DAS 6 pro and details like price and availability?

My experience has been good with the DAS 6 pro. It's powerful enough for DIY use yet gentle enough so that it does not burn paint.
I have done paint correction, polishing, glazing, waxing, and glass polishing with the machine.
Have a set of meguiars, lake country pads, plus carpro pads.
Have used 3 inch, 5 inch and 6 inch pads.

I want to buy Microfibre cloths which would not burn a hole in my pocket but are reliable and durable.
They would be used for washing the car and applying wax.
Which brand to go for?

Actually, I have been buying cheap microfibre for a long, long time, and I have never been disappointed. With a lot of the clothes, when you pay extra, you are paying it for things like edge finishing, rather than simple effectiveness. However, if you want specialist cloths like high, thick pile for buffing, then you'd better pay the price and buy the specialist product. It will last you for years: you will soon forget about the initial cost.

Yes, it is a nice idea, but somebody has to do it.

Whilst it would be nice to see such content on T-BHP, we probably don't have many members who do stuff like divide the bonnet and use different treatments on each half. You can find plenty of this sort of stuff on one or two American forums. I suspect that many of the contributors to such forums are professionals or semi-professionals. We don't have so many here in India and they have to be careful of T-BHP's advertising rules.

If you want to wash the car - a wash mitten would be better. Use a microfiber one (cheaper) or a lambswool one (expensive).
