Fevicol is from Pidilite.
BTW, that compound is even though very cheap its very aggressive and you can feel the fine granules while rubbing it with your fingers. Unless you need a very aggressive correction, this compound is not recommended. Moreover 2K doesnt mean it will give a 2K correction, its more aggressive than that. You can use it for finer scratches with very care, it can leave severe scratch marks that are visible at close inspection.

Just one word - Does its job wonderfully, superb, easy to use & tension free!!

Removed most of the paint related scratches to great extent. Also was able to remove the dullness in the paint & the vehicle was shining like gold!! Removed swirl marks on White, Red & Black colors & all of them are shining like jewels.

What method did you use: hand buffing or machine?
My car is also gaining some minor swirls, three months after exterior detailing job at 3M. So this looks like a good option than a full blown exterior treatment at this stage.

ScrathX & hand; removed few scratches on car...trust me, it was like working out in gym for an hour or so :eek:

Use Meg ScratchX or Meg's Ultimate Rubbing Compound with MF; both can be worked out using hand with gym like feeling!!

- Prep the surface by shampooing & remove imperfections & grime using clay bar
- Apply ScratchX using applicator pad & then remove the excessive using MF cloth

DO NOT, repeat, DO NOT, underestimate the power of applicator pad; I learned through hard lessons!!

This is a 735xx Km old fuel tank detailed last to last Sunday

And this was on my Rx; please watch in full resolution. Again, I'm no way claiming this a professional work as I haven't paid full attention to Rx as was excited working along with CPR :D

There're still some swirl marks which I believe can be removed only using a bare minimum of Megs Ultimate Compound or a DA as hands have limitations :(

Hey guys. I have been trying to go through this thread, but its really very long now. I was planning to get the 3M paint sealant process done on my new Jetta. Is it really helpful to do this? A few international sites say that doing this eats away a bit of the top coat.

My plan was to get one of this done every year so as to keep the car in good condition, now Im not so sure...

You have done very good. Which products you used and did you use Machine polisher. Please tell about the process you followed washing, claying... etc

I would say spend a couple of bucks more and get a coating like Cquartz done. Paint sealants are good,but coatings are much better. 3M is quite expensive for what it offers,I suggest you look at other detailers in bangalore like Quantum details,Keystone or Ultimate detailers. You can get their contact details through our directory.

This is true. Everytime you compound your car, a tiny bit of clear coat is removed to get rid of swirls and minor scratches. Since yours will be a new car,it will only need polishing and a coating over it,absolutely no need for compounding unless dealer has done some damage in transit. Compounding can be done in the later years if need be.

What wax can be used with blackfire wet diamond all finish paint protection.

Anything sir; any good wax will do the job

I read in some post that it is solvent heavy and it should be used with the right wax., etc, that's why the confusion.I am using the following items for my car


1. Gyeon Q2M bathe+


2. Blackfire wet diamond finish paint protectant


3. Optimum opti-bond tire gel





I dust my car after every drive with a Kent microfibre glove. Then put the car cover immediately. On weekends I clean the car with q2M bathe +. It's a shampoo with a wax. Following this I apply blackfire wet diamond manually by hand using a foam applicator and buff off after 15 min with a microfibre cloth. I have applied this only once since they say it usually lasts for 4 months. My car is. Honda city idtec carnelian red shade. Is there any other step I should include in this routine or try a wax before applying blackfire etc. I am open to any suggestions.

Black Fire Wet Diamond is a strong sealant. Any wax can be applied over it.
