I procured ONR wash and Wax from Eco car care, Bangalore. An 8 ounce (236ml) bottle would cost 675 rs inclusive of tax. I typically use 15 ml diluted to 3750 ml of tap water for 1 full wash. I cant comment on how good it would be compared to croftgate because other than the original 'ONR wash and shine' and the current 'ONR Wash and Wax', I have not used any other waterless wash product. It is certainly better than the ONR wash and shine (blue colored one)

Re: A superb Car cleaning, polishing & detailing guide

I have started using Collinite 845 and very satisfied with its shine and water beading.

My car has lot of swirls and Collinite 845 does not hide them. I do not want to go for compounding as I believe the paint on my 8 year old car is already thin.

While looking for glazes, I came across Amway Silicon Glaze which is affordable.

1. Is it advisable to use Amway Silicon Glaze in combination with Collinite 845?
2. If yes, should I use it before Collinite or after? I heard that glazes reduce the bonding ability of waxes.
3. Is there any other affordable glaze which goes better with Collinite 845?

Regards,
-Vinay.

All glazes have bonding issue with lsp's i.e. wax or sealants. Filling up swirls will not help in getting the look you are desiring. Atleast a medium level polishing needs to be done to get the best results.

Try Meguiars Ultimate Polish , followed with Meguiars Nxt 2.0 And Top It Up With Meguiars Ultimate Quick Wax.

You Will Love It For Sure

Note: It Would Be Better If You Do Some Claying & Lite Polishing Before All.

I really want to avoid polishing as I think there is hardly any clear coat left on the car. So I'm looking for alternatives.

Do you mean Ultimate Polish pre-waxing glaze?

I do not want to invest in more waxes, so is it ok to top the Ultimate Polish pre waxing glaze with Collinite 845, or is it going to reduce the durability of 845?

I'll surely clay the car first.

-Regards.

Yes , i suggested that wax because 845 will have bonding issues with ultimate polish. and if you say that you will do a ipa wipedown before 845 , then it defeats the purpose of glaze because the that polish will hide minor swirls and ipa will remove polishing oils of ultimate polish.

You can always try small samples of both the products i have mentioned , they are available at your nearest meguiars stockist @ Rs 49/- each

This is in my mind,

1. Wash
2. Clay
3. Meguiars Ultimate Polish pre waxing glaze
4. Collinite 845

Is this ok?

Regards.

there is no use of 845 over Meguiars Ultimate Polish , it will not bond and durability will be very less due to oily nature of Meguiars Ultimate Polish.

How do we get rid of the swirl marks. My car has lots, even though I use Jopasu duster, sonax shampoo and collinite 845.

Swirls can be handled in 2 ways - you either fill them up using a glaze with fillers, or polish the paint and take a micro layer off using a polish/swirl buster. The one you use should be decided based on the intensity of the swirls and the condition of your paint.

Get this product: http://www.armorall.com/product-types/leather/

Use a soft cloth/pad/cotton wool to apply and wipe off with microfiber towel. Allow couple of hours before you use the car.

Which Car You Own ??? Try to Use Cleaners Like Meguiars Apc or Optimum Power Clean in proper dilution ratios Prior to any leather Conditioner , it will defiantly help to bring back the original color
