I imported these from USA. Like I said before, two sets cost me less than what one would cost from ECC. Plus I wouldn't get these cobra towels as complementary.

I'll be using opti coat only on the roof and wheels on my car. It is primarily meant for my bike which suffers a lot everyday. Why options coat? Its proven, coating is a 2microns compared to 0.7 from cquartz.

Had requested autofresh guys for a discount last week and they created this nice 20% off from autofresh for Meg's Ultimate Polish + Quik Spray. A nice deal, IMHO.

Just got the goods yesterday - nicely packed.

My plan is as follows: Meg's Polish + Collinite for my cars before the monsoons. Topping up every 2 months with quik wax.

(Not affiliated in anyway whatsoever to autofresh. Just liked the deal)

I have a two year old Collinite 845 lying around. Very happy with it - just that it isn't the greatest in bringing out the 'wet-look'

Yup. It gets you thru snow and winters very well. But not a looker. Plus hot and humid climate will need something better. But for the price, C845 is as good as it gets.

What product/brand will balance the "look" and "wax effect"? More importantly among what is available in India? Would appreciate all views, cheers & thnx :)

C845 is a sealant so any good wax on top will give you good looks while C845 will hold the fort on protection.

Are there any good waxes available in India? I am not sure as I import small quantities for personal use from UK where the price & shipping are both affordable. detailedclean UK offers sample size pots for Dodo juice Waxes that are very affordable. One pot will easily do a hatchback 4 times.

I think BB Impex in India sells some Pinnacle waxes. Those are good too. Just be careful to research before buying as some sealants are sold as waxes. For Example, FK 1000P is sold as a "High Temp Wax" but is indeed a sealant. So is C845.

Meg's Quick Wax is more of a QD wax. Don't expect it to last any longer than 2 weeks in Indian conditions. If you like the look it gives (it is a sealant), then use it as a drying aid after your weekly wash.

Lazy Man's Car Wash.

Soaped and sponged the car, backed it out of the car shelter and sat in it for ten minutes while the rain did the rest of the work. Drove it back and dried it. For a superficial wash (no wheels, wheel arches, hidden places) the result is as good as the pressure washer, with almost no effort :D

I want to do some detailing (body) for my car before the monsoon rains start. Can anyone suggest what kind of polish/detailing I should go for and how it will help in maintaining my car's color and shine? I have already done underbody rust protection.

Used a dry (albeit hot n humid) weekend to break out the Klasse twins.

Washed, shampooed, rinsed and chamois dried first, and then (manually) applied the Klasse AIO with a microfiber applicator pad as directed.

Turned to Klasse sealant glaze - applied and left for 30 mins to have my lunch. Then came back to remove it with a damp microfiber (thanks to mkh for the pointer)

Result is as good as sonax polish + Megs NXT + colinite 845 - let's see how long it holds under the tropical sun and sporadic nor'wester downpours.
