Fellas have recently bought Armorall Protectant Gel (as attached)

I will have my own experience soon but just want to know how effective it is? How frequently to apply actually. Any suggestion to apply the product.

Also how good is Armorall Ultra shine liquid polish?

Does this leave a glossy finish? I need an interior plastics cleaner which is strictly non-gloss. I find shiny surfaces inside the car to be distracting, and like to minimise reflections in the glass too.

Of course, any detergent will clean, and with microfibre, even a little moisture alone will do --- but, no protective element.

Got my tube in Mustafa, Singapore. It was a blast from my childhood past seeing it there. Only when I got back, the internet informed me that they have a presence in India. A tube lasts a long time, though.

I use it on the chrome in the house too. All our original taps are looking bad and I don't want it to happen to new ones as we replace them. Something in our air: the logos and chrome on our Swift went the same way. Somehow, maybe its the Autosol, the VW's chrome is surviving.

By the way: I use fingers and an old, soft toothbrush to apply it, and a cloth (microfibre, of course: is there any other kind? ) to buff it. Q-tips might be good for getting into some of those small spaces, eg in model names. Just had that idea as I type!

Need some good leather conditioner for my cedia leather seats. With no tint and Mumbai summer already starting I'm feeling that seat cover has hardened a bit. Is armorall leather care gel any good ? I want to make them soft also protect them. Have heard some good reviews about meguiar's gold class leather care. Can experts help.

I use this once in a month for all the interior plastics. It gives a non sticky, non glossy finish which is good!

Get Megs Gold Class Leather Cleaner & Conditioner, Megs Foam Applicator Pad to apply it and Megs Supreme Shine Microfiber Towel to buff it off. You should be able to find all the stuff at any 3M Car Care in Mumbai. Using the Megs product for Leather & Leatherette seats and it does a fab job. Even used it on leather wrapped steering wheel and it makes the surface quite soft & conditioned. Get it ASAP.

Collinite users :- How long does a coat of collinite 845 last in our weather? Drive my car once a week or two weeks and it stays parked in the basement.

Also what process do you follow to apply collinite? How much is needed to cover an entire car?

If you drive your car that sparingly, a coat of collinite 845 should easily last for 3-4 months - probably more.
Collinite is to be applied sparingly with either a fresh MF towel or foam pad applicator in a thin, even coat. 1 bottle should easily last a couple of years for you provided you use it every 3-4 months.

There is a slight learning curve in how to apply Collinite 845, there is a good article from Autogeek below, which explains very nicely and in detail how to apply 845 to get the best results !

My Last 845 application lasted more than 3 months on my daily driver Safari. Water just beads off and shine on a white car is just great.

Thanks for the link. This guide is pretty well detailed although its mostly written about machine application. I want to know how does one get perfect application by hand.

BTW, can Opti-Coat be applied to painted alloy wheels of a bike? (from the durability point of view). For now Im going to apply collinite as the 3m wax doesn't last much longer than 2 to 3 weeks.

Also, do you think I can use the wolfgang sealant and then use collinite as the LSP? Will that produce good results?

If I cover first with sealant and then top it with collinite, will the layer last for 3 (wolfgang) + 3 (collinite) = 6 months in total or only 3 months altogether?

Partha, Its almost 2 years now and still have some left for another 1 or 2 coats. Been using it on Car and Bike.
As mentioned by Nirmal mentioned should be used sparingly.

Never tried it - but the 3+3 is difficult I guess.

Guys i need some help. I have leather / rexine seat covers on my car. They are starting to get dirty and are loosing their sheen.

What is the best way to clean them so that they regain their original colour.

Also, is there a place in Delhi where i can get this done?

My calcluation was simple

$cost + $US shipping * INR conversion rate (CC charges etc) = Landed cost in US

So.

$16 + $6 * 55 = INR1210 ( Landed cost in INDIA with 1 free microfiber) which is almost same as you get it in INDIA. I think this is the only detailing product which we get at alomst same cost otherwise everything else is almost double
