Time: 6.30 AM

Rough Plan: Assemble at the meeting point -Drive towards Lavasa - Stop enroute at a Tapri for Tea - Reach Lavasa and stop at a good viewing point for a possible photo shoot - On the way back from Lavasa lunch stop - Back home by 2 PM.

Probably the "+1" part thought there are other things like movies, shopping etc. to do on weekends rather than driving around with some petrol heads...

BTW, I'm off to Mumbai tomorrow, to an in-laws function. My car is out of action due to breaching the mileage limit for 2nd service already. Going in the in-laws' Santro. If I'm back tomorrow, Swanand, I'll contact you. If back, I want to come to the meet, even if as a piggy back...I presume you won't mind extra 70kgs in the TDI . Fingers crossed.

Dear ALL , please think over this

Suggestions :

1) departure time from Chandani chowk ( assembly point ) 6.45 ?

please don't miss the Train.


2) lead car & tail car of the convoy needs to be fixed , I propose mine as tail car ( as its the slowest of the lot )

3) A Jack , spare tyre ( inflated ) & basic car tool kit is a MUST

4) I have all other recovery equip ( already loaded in LR ) So some one please carry the first aid kit , ( I have my own )


5) Please carry at least 2 liters of drinking water ( it gets really hot after 9.00 am ) & also caps etc

6) carry personal medication ( diabetics , if there is any one )

7) at least exchange Mobile No. ( on Pm ) of confirmed attendees Along with car make & No. ( do we need to make a list ? )


This is our first ( known to me ) outing in recent time , please stay together & ORGANISED

Hello Guys,

I did one small detour while coming back from office (Hinjewadi Phase 2) today or rather took a different route while returning home. Came via the Pirangut route via Phase 3. And as Swanand mentioned found the Buninda Dhaba. Did not have food as the time was not right and i believe Swanand for its taste. The place is good and something similar to Soundarya or the other places in and around HInjewadi. And as some of the BHPians have already tasted the food there we should be in safe hands (or would have safe tummys). My only objective of taking this detour was to have contact numbers of the place. I generally like things to be planned in advanced (slightly old fashioned i guess)

@JD and other veggie freinds - I also specifically asked about Veg food and checked the Menu and they have Veg options like any other place. So that should solve that concern as well, if any.

They do not have a Buffet as such but the owner told me that if we give the order half an hour in advance they would be prepared. I thought half an hour was really optimistic for a group of 20-25 people. But that is fine.

I propose the following. Let us freeze on Buninda Dhaba. I have got the mobile numbers/cards of the place and we can decide the menu once we meet and stop at Lavasa. Then we can give them a call before we are ready to leave. This would give them ample time for the preparation. I also asked him if someone would be available in the morning (on our way to Lavasa) to take the details. He said the watchman would be available at 7.30 AM


I would wait for the response from the rest of the gang and if this is fine i would give them a call tomorrow night to confirm that T-BHP would be there at Buninda Dhaba
