TB was sure about the shop where he bought the camera and with out giving up,with determination he googled and brought out the word Chimalgi. We called Raveendra who gave us the exact location and voila we entered to pick up the cable. It turned out to be an enlightment there by Mr.Chimalgi that the cable was after all not needed since one could transfer from Camera memory to card memory with some setting.TB was thrilled by this enlightenment and we drove off happily.
Since there was a power cut and no street lights and dusk set in,TB has a great idea.He asked me to switch on all the cabin lights, parking lights of the cars and asked a passing by motorcyclist to stop and focus his headlight on the cars. The result in the pics above, was like "Tansen Singing : Diya Jala".I was simply floored.
Wow, what a photoshoot! Hats off to you TB (er- or BT?), especially your idea for the light on the cars...now that's innovative!

Your 1100 especially looks fab, ram! Tempting enough to be put up as a wallpaper!

BTW, on the lighter side- you actually wear trinkets??

Nice to hear that you've met Mr. Chimalgi (I presume you mean Gururaj, who has the french beard and glasses?) As I'd mentioned to you earlier, it was he who has a Super-select manual and another period booklet of a list of Fiat dealers/distributors all over the world circa 1960s. And twas also he who helped me get my SS80, a very good friend. Did he mention me to you by any chance?
You would've also noticed his (actually his late father's) WW2 BMW twin (forgot the full name) bike at the shop. That had been present at our last DHAA rally at C'mohalla too.

Basu, those are some lovely pictures of Ram's steeds. Great work !

That was a great meet today. Even though some of the regular folks didnt turn up. We had a great time driving on those empty roads ( Brajesh bhai, you missed that)

After some time spent at Gandipet, we moved to Himayathsagar and found a nice spot near the lake and spent a peaceful couple of hours there with some thumbs-up and chips for company

Post that, we stopped at Venu's recommended dhaba ( we drove back in opposite direction for about 20kms) and enjoyed the ambience of "All Seasons" at Chevella on Vikarabad highway.

Food was not good but ambience more than made it up for it.

@Unoczar, nice to meet up with you. Catch you at the next meet.....

Pictures will come up tomorrow, i am off to get spooked ( Paranormal Activity...brrrrrrrr) in Inox

Many Thanks.
Mr. Chimalgi's brother was whom I interacted with.
All I did was show him a magazine picture of a night shot in 2008 and asked him to recommend a camera for it. I settled for SONY DSC H3 - the one I am using now. I am willing to travel to Hyderabad just to buy my next camera from him. No he did not mention your name. Yes I noticed his BMW

Thank You, My Pleasure. As I was always telling Hillram, I always expect mediocrity and work it up by spontaneity to get proper shots. And I myself went through the pictures again and again. The array of colors is addictive.

I just reached Mumbai comfortably. See you all getting HVKed on 20th/21st Jan

Hi Pandey ji, Nice pics of the meet.Hot samosa must have been good in that weather yesterday.

@Unoczar : I completely misjudged your personality from your writing. Nice to see you here.
I probably spotted MC's Storm on Road no:1 at around 3:30p.m

Thanks guys !!!

Btw,its not the magic of DSLR but magic of guy behind that camera.

With several handicaps/challenges like dusty sensor, heavy-weight, noisy AF, the lensman was still able to take some decent pictures. Dont you think?

@Manish, yes that was the Leh'd storm as we returned around that time into city.

2nd installment of our vagabonding on Gandipet/Himayathsagar terrain

So I was right, I spotted the storm a little ahead of Mainland china. Was coming back after picking wife from office.
P.S: What's with the multitasking. You are handling 2 threads at a time.
