Shiv, Jignesh, Kiron, Arun : Does Saturday the 21st of March @ stuttgart work for you guys? If you've not visited the Daimler museum - might serve as a fitting venue.

Hi Zed,
I lived for 3 years in stuttgart before I moved to the lovely city of Gerlingen very next to it. 21st seems to be a good date.

Lets plan the itinerary in a way where we can spend some time in the musuem and then head over to a cool brauhaus I know in downtown not too far for some German delicacies.

Sounds good ?

Cheers
Shiv

Daredevil, sorry that I missed your post. At the risk of sounding like its 2008, I have to admit I am not on whatsapp. By choice. Does the 21st of March @ Stuttgart work for you? Shiv and Kiron are OK with this option. Im waiting for feedback from Arunshek and Jignesh.

No worries Zed, I can totally understand

Stuttgart from Hanover would mean, I need to stay over as a day trip would not be possible. So I guess, I skip this one and maybe next time we plan to visit VW museum in Wolfsburg

True. The situation has significantly changed since last week. All schools are shut in Baden-Württemberg this week. Border controls and restrictions are in place with Switzerland and Austria. Should we reconsider the meet-up or plan to meet in an outdoor space / walking trail to follow the recommended social distancing norms ? I recognize the irony in my statement ...

Re: Germany Meet Thread

Hello my dear BHPians, I would have liked to join you but given the present situation, we can plan something for April/may. My job mandates me to maintain social distancing (I am a part of the essential/emergency services), wouldn't be able to participate in any meet up until the situation is clarified. But, hope everything will settle down by mid of april or atleast may.

If not whatsapp, we can use signal (if everyone agrees) and uses it.

@Zed: How are you? Long time no see..

@Spikey: You probably left Germany at the right time!

P.S.: I am in Munich too!

Stay safe all of you! if any BHPian needs any help in family support or groceries or any medical emergency, feel free to contact me.

Re: Germany Meet Thread

I also feel that it is better if we shift the meeting to some time in April or May depending on how the Corona situation progresses.

Batterylow, good to hear from you. Look like we are hitting the numbers for a meet up. But I agree with the recommendations to wait for a more opportune time considering the current crisis. How are things in Munich city ?

Things don't seem to be great at the moment, with the Corona count rapidly increasing. Public transport is largely running empty.

Hope it gets better soon so that we can finally enjoy spring.
Lets wait for this situation to get better so that we can plan a meet.
