Kolkata Meet - April 2009

As usual, an excellent meet, as it appears. Looks like I will have to catch up with a lot of members who joined over the last one year.

Where are the rest of the pics?

It was a HOT meet. As a matter of fact so hot, that some of us (speaking for me) had to spend the night sweating.

Driving an Old Non-Ac car on a hot afternoon thinking that home isn't far enough. But then, fortune did not have a cold room reserved for me that evening and the night was spent after having exhausted the backup power systems.

Coming back to the meet. It was nice. Apart from the innocent multicar photoshoot attempt on the NH, everything else was accomplished in a responsible manner.

I was the first to reach the Midway.

Slip streaming has its own benefits.

Thats the best I could do to get all the cars in the frame sacrificing one headlamp each of the terminator cars. Should have seen that some people are blocking some of the rides, my bad.

Also had the previlege to be first on the 2nd hooghly bridge on the way back to wave everyone goodbye.

Blame the low harsh Sun and the reflecting road. However we all get the point! The ordeal was just about to start.

Fun-tastic meet guys,and it was nice meeting few greenhorns(so far as Kolkata meets are concerned)-Capt Dey,Predatorwheelz,btirthankar,Evo.All of them are as passionate about wheels as we are.

Debdeep dude,your HRS alloys are an excellent choice,how on Earth did I miss that earlier,and your baby looks so gorgeous in that low angle shot by BT.

We missed shuv c/d,razor,pushpak,wim and a few regulars.

Long live Team-BHP spirit

PS:Am in for a night out.Debdeep,BT how about Saturday night?Should we start a new thread on that?

Meet details are posted on the forum, make sure to be at the starting point. Car or no car. Not a problem. You can hitch a ride with any one of us.

@1100D - Anirbanda, lovely photos. I remember you standing at the juncture of the Howrah Byepass (just before Vidyasagar Setu) and photographing/waving to us. Felt very nice.
