.
Few other good movies to add in this list are
  1. Madmax
  2. Italian Job(Old One)
  3. Gone in 60 Seconds
Btw I have BigFlix subscription so we can do a Movie Marathon

Let's actually do it. Can anyone find out where and how much they charge for one evening's hang out? Also, how many they can accomodate.

Any volunteers who can extricate this info?

I just add FD-2 too. I am also a BF member. I am right now up to my neck with movie watching so one outside specially arranged would be nice or at the multiplexes.

Himanshu and Srikanth had a small preview of FD-2. I think they liked it

EDIT : I think for some reason Raveendra is not online today but i would like to see his reaction when he checks this thread in the night. We have added 4 pages in the last couple of hours and without going ANYWHERE, this thread is already 122 posts long. Only a bunch of excited, fun loving and team spirited hyderabadis can do it...Way to go. WE ROCK ( stealing getsurya's patented phrase)

Avi, the particular accident scene in FD2 which Himanshu and myself saw at your place was chilling! +1 to your DVD and home theater system too!!

Bingo! I'm also waiting for Himanshu's update on the road to Bangalore. But for my daughter's exams, I'd surely have plonked myself into his Safari!
Man, I spent a few hours away from this forum today to drop my kid-- had 2 traffic jams to deal with, and a small post-lunch siesta.
When I visited this thread---it had tooooooo mannnyyyy posts today, and took a good part of half an hour to catch up with what's happening.
Great to know that you guys had fun! That's the way to go guys---you rock!

Okay dokay.
By the way, may be a little OT, why were there so many jams today? I heard even Gachibowli area was jammed this morning. While going to KV, Picket, I saw a huge jam on the Pantaloons side of the road at 9 am.
I had to go to Spar on my return, but avoided that stretch and took Necklace Road.
However, the Khairatabad fly-over took 10 minutes to cross, and the CM's house at Greenlands also took that long to traverse. Looks like today was a 'Hyderabad Jam Day'

Now that you mention it, today morning from Himayathnagar to Hitec City took me more than 1.5 hours otherwise which i cover in about 45-50 mins.

After spending so much time in the car, i felt i was born in i10 Kappa

hmmmmmm , seems like my post didnt turn out to be a Travelogue of driving from Secunderabad to Guru Naal Dhaba in Hi-tech City(Via office in Jubilee Hills) , so here goes .

Route taken : Tarnaka Main Rd par chad jaao - Mettuguda bridge aatha , uske neechey gus jaao - Rail Nilayam diktha - phir Merredpally ke bachein dikthein - S.D Road - sab flyover par chala jao - aur bas seeeedha jaana ,badiya sa Water Tank(ty Rajesh) diktha , .... aadmi kaam kartey usme udhar se left markey waich pey Rajesh ko call karna.

Experience : There are a few rules to be followed when embarking on this journey

Rule no 1 : At mettuguda -DONT drive on right most lane .... you'll be stuck with fellows coming on opposite side on OUR side of the road trying to cut into the gullies. Stay in lane and be patient.... you'll be ahead of the ones that try to weave around .

Rule no 2 : once Mettuguda is crossed , assume the state of immortality because now all that's ahead is the Major roads. As the saying goes on such types..... slow down to be named "learner hoga". brake to be named "kya buddey jaise chal rah gaadi", horn to be named "dikta nahi samney traffic hai , kahan gussney try kar rah rey".just go with the flow-indicate , weave and proceed.Only honk for the bus drivers cause they are the only ones who give 2 hoots about it (pun intended).

Rule no 3:
Once your in the better, wider and well laid out roads of Hyderabad .... take a deep breath and tell yourself "ooooooooossaaaaaaahhhh"(Dont know what it means , but it calms me down, keep your thoughts to yourself ). I then recline my seat back a lil further , put down the window a wee bit .. light up a smoke, play my tunes and cruise to the signals ahead. No weaving , no honking , no hard revving. This area of Hyderabad is meant for "cruising along in your ride" so as to speak.Adopt this approach else you shall pay for it by heightening your inferiority complex..after all , you wouldnt want to think that the beemer passing by is having a better time speeding?!?

Rule no 4 : You'll notice that the "right of way" is different at each zone. In places like James street and Begumpet ....... the Driver entering the main road has right of way, no kidding!.But in Jubilee,Banjara and beyond, the drivers seem to have been educated to a certain extent by his "Maalik" when it comes to Customer Satisfaction so as not to loose their inflated pays.

Think that's about it ...now you know :-)

Hilarious! Aren't we all too old to be born in a kappa? kappa being just few years old! Amby would have suited your quote better. LOL!

Quote:
horn to be named "dikta nahi samney traffic hai , kahan gussney try kar rah rey".
Addition - Par lagakar ud ja agar itni jaldi hai toh!
In Pune, have seen some of the drivers actually signaling this to the honker behind by flapping both their arms!

Now, that's called a travelogue!

Please do post the same in Hyderabad Traffic Customs thread too to educate(?) the common man!

After seeing the pics, I am sure most of you know a good hair specialist (trichologist, as we fashionably call) . Jokes apart, I'll appreciate any recommendations for one. Shayad Hyd. ka paani suit nahin kar raha mujhe

Pulsar, good pictures dude and btw, if i had mentioned i was born in an amby, you guys would have called me Granpa in our next meet..hehehe.

Our conversation at the dhabas is best not described since none of us remeber what we were talking about. I was focused on Achari Chicken and wiping the sweat away

@Arun, that's one hilarious in-city travelogue, so now you got the hang of typing out a lengthy travelogue. Hope to see many more such accounts on a regular basis.

@Sagar, something is definetly up for Friday evening. So don't book that slot for some boring case studies or architectural diagrams that you need to submit at college next day. Keep it reserved for the fun time with Hyd folks...LOL

More in some time..................

Not one in the pic that cannot boast about being a foodie by virtue of their waistlines ... and the sentence of the day is " we all Rock! ......... when lying on our bellies.

Edit: Naveen doesn't qualify cause he hasn't been influenced by the T-bhp food meets .
