Yes, however I am skeptical about doing this in a hurry and ending up with a low turn out. I am fine with August/September/October the weekends that are long with holidays are listed below.

August - 15th Friday [14,15,16 & 17] 1 day leave 14th Aug
September - 3rd Wednesday - Ganesh Chaturthi (Maharastra only) [30, 31 -Aug 1,2,3 Sept] 2 days leave 1st & 2nd Sept (1st Sept USA Labour Day)
October - 2nd Thursday [2,3,4,5] 1 day leave Friday 3rd-Oct.

lets get a census on the location first, then you can get it on the dates.

Whats the minimum turnout required to make this possible.

Going by the way planning is going on, i dont see that nothing is impossible.

The only other way to make it simple is(I only feel this is a bit easier)

Let all Safari Owners here finalize on one paricular date.

Let individual region guys meet at one common point(e.g., Mumbai- All Mumbai Safari Owners take out their Safari, stick the T-BHP message on their cars-run on major roads in their respective city for over an hour or so-meet up for lunch and then leave )

Similar events happening at different states and regions-ONE COMMON DATE & TIME. Snap photos of the event and post it on T-BHP.

Done.

Else plan indefinately for everyone to agree on one particular place and time(Which i dont see happening)-Lets admit guys, everyone are pre-occupied in their own daily family chores- I feel the National Meet is a bit far distant dream.

I will be damn happy if it happens.

But the above will suit every one.

What say guys?

Are the Bangalore boys ready for a quick Safari meetup and driveout tomorrow? I know its kinda short notice, but its a sunday.

There may be a Scorpio too. Most of my best friends drive Scorpios

Pavan, I understand your concern however these are Safari guys they have bought this Dream vehicle with the soul aim to travel with family and cruise long distances hence the National Meet works out for us. Also the planning has to be perfect cause this is a safari meet and just Dinner wont really do. Every region will obviously meet-up on the said date before the meet to cruise together and start the journey.

Need a central location!!!

Some thing like Humpy.

We are planning a Meet mid way between hyderabad and banglore, if the dates clash are nearby, we can merge that meet with this one. While the proposed place there is Gooty, but i doubt that it will be final. I will propose Humpi there as well.

Jude Dude i am in Singapore and would not be able to co-ordinate with the bangy guys, i am back mid or end next month.

Fantastic idea Juda , a whole gathering of Safaris converging to a place will be a statement by itself. Surely local people will mistake it for those political MPs flocking together and having some chintan shibir or whatever they have, in these gross political drama time!!

Coming to myself,

My Safari 2.2 VTT will be completing a year on October 16 and want to celebrate it in grand style. As such during those days, with Durga Puja that time extended holidays from my wife's office being no problem, I had already planned out for big and unique tour and that being of either

1. Hiimachal/Lahaul Spiti [Kalpa-Chitkul-Tabo-Mudh-Kaza-Manali-Delhi-Kolkata]

or

2. A Bhutan tour.

HP/Lahaul spiti gets preference as that tour will be more challenging and I have already done some arrangents verbally over the phone.

Thus, if for some reason, and will looking out for any small reason, that HP tour gets cancelled or defer it to next year Puja holidays, I will be driving down to Goa for the meet on the second week of October.
