As far as I am concerned - yeah I'm on. Muttukadu. Morning of Jan 17.

1. Meet just before Uthandi checkpost at 7:30 AM

2. Drive over and grab breakfast at Kumbakonam Filter Coffee / Dosa Hut in Muttukadu https://www.facebook.com/pages/DOSA-HUT/202783029845433 .. I don't expect more than Rs.150 a head for coffee + dosa / idli type stuff. Please do bring family over if you can.

3. Eat, relax, meet and greet etc till say 8:45

3. Reach Muttukadu boat house by 9 AM which is the official opening time. Hire boats and play around in general.

4. Lunch - where?

5. Return to Chennai by say 2 PM or so.

Nicely plated but I neither liked the taste nor the quantities. You get much better ambiance in just a little more price in the starred hotels any day. To each their own here!

Even the timing is a matter of discussion. We can always meet up at 10 and do lunch at that dosa place, boat around for a couple of hours and return to Chennai in the evening

Will that be sufficient time to wake up?

Thad Sir - How about joining us at 8.30 am at Uthandi Checkpost and for a South Indian Breakfast at 9 ?
This way h14 can return to city by 10. I may have to skip the lunch session too as I need to receive a client by 1.

Don't change for me ...as I realise that I couldn't make it that day anyway.

Grandson's birthday, family lunch. Definitely not allowed to miss that by oversleeping!

Another time: a lunch meet on ECR or OMR would be great, and I'll show up for the first time in years. Last time was a beach-side meet nearby Bella Cia, Thiruvanmiyur. Some years ago now!

Here's the big confession. I'll probably have my status stripped and my account closed --- but, these days, I'm somewhat going off driving. I just about never go for a drive just for the sake of the drive.

Having said that, I have agreed to meet some other friends in Mahabs on Feb 1st, and Muthukuddu is certainly not too far. Although my idea of boating is a gentle potter in a rowing boat: none of that noisy power stuff!

Well, actually, my real idea of boating is to be off the coast, under sail, in a yacht of about 40-foot length, but that is something I have not done for many years now.
