I'd rather watch the ceiling fan for a couple hours. That would be more entertaining.
Reminds me of the last auto expo that was conducted in YMCA grounds, royapettah, which was a complete disaster.

Hope this CTC event is not by the same organizers.

All of a sudden I lost all the "enthu"
I'd rather go for a drive than battle through traffic to reach the Chennai trade center to see nothing.
I don't mind coming as we can still mark it a "meet" or "meat"

Plus a million to above .. you would also get to see Haute stall with the same jazzy swift, luring you to get fleeced

How about a Sunday breakfast meet @ Hot Chips ECR or the Tryst or whatever cafe in ECR ?

There was one at the trade centre a couple of years ago that was an almost complete disaster.

I'd be willing to stake Rs5, no, even ten rupees , that there are more vehicles to be seen at the big annual The Hindu shopping exhibition (June I think) than there will be at this one.

When you think what they could do, it is very sad. After all, we are the 4th biggest city in the 2nd most populous country in the world. Hardly a small market for cars etc.

How do decent motor expos happen? Does it take the direct involvement of the manufacturers?

This one had all the cars that were promised in the ad. And there were only a couple of stalls with GPS devices, no G.P road stuff.

The EVO X, Porsche 911 and the 1968 Mustang stole the show.

Rightly said EL. I was there with my friend on Satuday. It was a waste of 50 rupees . The Evo, 69 Mustang, Mini cooper stole the show. They also had a stall from Bosch.

Took a look on Sunday afternoon. I have never known the car park so full, as every hall was occupied and something on at the convention centre too.

Yes, the cars were there, but it was jut too crowded to really take a look at anthing, especially the Vento, which was really attracting people to take a look.

If they did this properly, with sections for accessories, ICE, etc and got support from the manufacturers and dealers, it could be quite a show. One day...

The Interior Decor show (I did that one too) was even more crowded, and pretty much just the "usual suspects". I am on waving terms with five or six regular Chennai exhibitors.

The company that does the Bosch pressure washers has a stand at every show. I wonder how they did this time, with the relevance to cars? There was a another cleaning equipment company, with some heavy-duty pro-looking stuff.

Thanks, ElantraGT. It is nicer to see your photos than it was being in the crowd there.
