well the starters are amazing.. the main course isnt all that spectacular IMO.

Right.. the actual 'main course' are the starters/sizzlers on the charcoal and its unlimited. It'll keep coming as long as you can stuff yourself. The rice/roti/curry buffet was nothing extraordinary. The dessert was decent enough. For 500, it's very VFM.

But if you are in a 'romantic mood', the Amazon jungle on the 2nd floor might be better. That's what the manager said.

Do they serve complimentary drink, cocktails or mocktails? Last time I passed by it did not really look inviting from the outside

Yes, unlimited pepsi, mirinda, 7 up. It's pretty decent inside. The waiters are all dressed like sheikhs at Al Arab. Not sure if they are dressed up like tribals at Amazon. lol

Apparently Lewis Hamilton will be driving around MMST this 17th.
Got an SMS from Vodafone saying to SMS back to get a free pass.

Also AutoExpo 24-26th at Chennai Trade Center.

Anyone interested ?

MR. Water Bean, if you are thinking about complimentary hot liquids, Courtyard marriott serves the same (unlimited !!) with their dinner buffet on specific days.

Logic : 1st day might be too crowded, same for Sunday 26th.
I don't have any plans for that weekend, so I'm all up for options/suggestions.

The chennai show would be like a mix of GP road and car dealerships under one roof.
I'd rather watch the ceiling fan for a couple hours. That would be more entertaining.

I'll certainly be visiting the auto exhibition, although I have low hopes of it. Guess what? It is billed as featuring, "four-wheeler, two wheelers and accessories". Well, yes, I suppose it would

but I wonder how many manufacturers they have managed to sell stalls to? These Trade Centre exhibitions can be pretty weak (I check out most of them <Blush>).

Anyway, I'll give it a chance, probably on the Saturday afternoon. If anyone spots a vesti-clad foreigner, they probably won't be making a mistake by saying, "Hello Thad!"

Err...I've a confusion; when is the Autoexpo? I don't see anything coming up in the recent times. Here's the schedule of CTC - ::Welcome to Chennai Trade Centre

I only see an AutoExpo somewhere in Nov 2010 & Jan 2011.

I could be completely wrong though; my bad, I should've probably enquired this morning rather than having a glance at CTC while zipping past through. I'll make a point to enquire when going back home & post the updates this evening.
