It was a plan proposed by ishan0278 and it quickly caught on and became a sizeable number. The idea was to do a day drive and meet the forum members and their cars. The plan was discussed and the the final decision was to meet at 7am and start the drive after a general round of introductions. The drive had three kinds of participants.
- Ones who were doing the full drive
- Others who were returning after breakfast
- Yet others who were returning after meeting and greeting at the start

The meeting point on that Sunday was nothing short of spectacular with a huge number of cars and a lot of enthusiastic car talk. It was a pleasant surprise seeing the faces associated with the team-bhp handles. That we were slightly behind schedule was expected owing to the large turnout and the relatively short drive we had ahead of us. There were all manner of cars in the lineup with the popular Thar, the rare fiesta 1.6S, a stage 2 polo GT TDI, immaculately kept Linea Tjet, a 2.4 Grand Vitara. a 3.2 Mitsubishi Montero AT, Bavarian powerhouses etc being some of them. We started the drive to our breakfast point about 70kms away and the sight was incredible to see. We got a lot of glances from the public wherever we pulled up owing to the sheer numbers and the variety of machines at one place.


Breakfast was a quick affair and the conversation ranged from mods to work to travel and other topics. Before I forget, we had a bike amongst the group too.

The plan now was to continue the drive, while the ones returning back from breakfast were taking the route back home. So we veered off the main road and landed up on some country roads eyeballing the scenery in awe. The roads were a mix of good and bad. Our stop was a lovely hillock with the countryside extending for miles all round. This was a rather popular place with the group and a lot of photos got clicked here. Some curious villagers assumed that a shoot was going on and hung around to look at the proceedings.

Thereafter, we proceeded to the next leg of the journey, that was Horsley hills. Its a popular hill station near Bangalore. The climb was short and the drive up was a nice one although being a weekend meant that there were tourists. We parked up and proceeded to one of the restaurants for lunch. This also served as a nice break after the morning drive.

We still had quite some distance to go before we got back home and decided to start the journey back from Horsley hills but not before we got some shots of the convoy taken on the beautiful ghats. We have to thank turboNath for the drone shots. He was simply superb in finding out places and planning and nailing shots. Thanks for all the great work Atreya.

We got some good tarmac to drive on the way back and speeds picked up. It was great to see a variety of cars effortlessly eat up distances. After driving for close to an hour and more, we took a break for tea and were greeted by a light drizzle. Had our break and decided to say byes as the next leg would involve some traffic and madness. @Megazoid, thanks a lot for penning this. It was indeed an amazing meet up. When the plan was initially set up, we were not expecting anything close to the actual turn up!!! Goes on to show the amount of enthusiastic bunch of people we have over here who are only looking for a push

It was awesome to meet like minded individuals on a lovely Sunday morning, perfect for a day driver across stunning vistas, lazy straight highways, fast flowing corners and technical hairpin bends. This drive had it all!!

@megazoid, what a crazy route you had planned. Thanks to the organising committee Sarthak, Atreya , Hari Sir. It's one of he best drives we have done in a while. Lets do these drives more. Cheers !

Thank you, Megazoid, for sharing this fantastic report! Huge kudos to Ishaan, you and Sarthak for pulling this off on such a short notice. It was amazing to witness such a stunning mix of cars in the convoy, moving towards the horizon accompanied with clear skies, rolling hills, and lush green pastures. The route selection was spot-on, blending fast-flowing highways with scenic backroads. Here are some of the drone shots – a short video will follow soon. The formula for a perfect TBHP meet is simple: great cars, even better company, and good food. This Monsoon Drive nailed it all. We should definitely plan these drives more often!

Enjoyed every bit of the full day drive (I guess it was 430+ kms in total) - it was truly a wonderful experience driving with this bunch of crazy and fun driving enthusiasts - special thanks to @Megazoid for the fantastic and scenic route planning, @turboNath for amazing drone shots making this drive even more memorable, to @Grease_monkey for beautiful pics along the way, and to @ishan0278 and @Rhik94 for all the coordination and acting as the anchors for the convoy. It was lovely meeting the rest of the TBHP Bangalore members - looking forward to many more interactions, friendships and drives together!

What a delightful meet. I am sure every member and their respective family troops had a time of their lives, Drivers more for obvious reasons. @turboNath The drone shot received a standing ovation of 10 minutes in my room for 10th time of the day (I keep coming back to drool over the pictures.)

It's awesome to see Team-BHP meet-ups rolling out in Bengaluru! I'd love to join one in the future, nothing better than catching up with fellow BHPians and admiring some beautiful machines up close.
