An amazing trip to say the least! Thanks for organizing it Chief. Everything was smooth, punctual and the location was simply gorgeous. There were other pro photographers around and they will probably post loads more pics of the entire trip, I'll just add my 2 cents worth

The resort was well maintained and the staff were very courteous and accommodating to our requests. Food could have been better, nothing unlivable though.

A few of the family folk decided to head to the dam and check out the water sports they had on offer. Even though there were lots of people, it was worth the effort and wait. The speed boat specifically was a blast, the rain started to come down hard when were out and it ended up being a thrilling experience!

It was great meeting everyone and getting to know them a bit better. Made some new friends, learnt loads of new things and was surrounded by the beauty of nature. Can't complain at all. Thanks to everyone for making it a memorable experience.

As I told everyone during our Introductions, people like us who live, breathe and love cars may not be understood well in our personal/social/work circles. However the moment I met this group at 530 AM on Day 1, I knew I was finally "Home" !

Not just the gorgeous resort but even the breakfast and lunch venues and the comfort stops enroute. All through the 3 days, you checked with everyone on how they were doing and feeling. Your love , kindness and warmth touched all our hearts. And thank you for showing us a bit of motoring history (Motoring guide from the 1970/80s)
@Dr.AD - Absolute pleasure to meet you and your "popular" red 320D! Your passion for Cars, especially BMWs, photography skills and such an eye for detail and angles. Thanks to you and a few more here, folks like us don't need to click pictures. Your pictures of my car are the best I have till date (across all my cars).

What worked in this photoshoot session is that we found themes which made the pictures look more interesting than random car photos. A photograph must tell a story, and a theme in the photo helps tell that story. For example, these two Fortuners, the same generation and otherwise same looking, but one in White and one in Black made an excellent theme for the photograph.

Similarly, we had the two BMW M340is, in two different colors that formed a nice theme. And then we had three BMW G20 generation 3ers, in three different colors, which made yet another nice story theme for a photoshoot.

One more example of the theme is the side profile of the "fluidic" Verna of @Peraljam, which is its characteristic design element, that stood out so clearly against the dark background in the evening light. This is why I asked @Pearljam to park his car at that specific angle, which was very different from the angle used for any other car. Only this Verna was shot with that perfect side angle to highlight the profile.

These themes make car photography so much fun. Every car tells a story, and if could make an attempt to capture that story in the photo, it makes the photography as well the photograph so much fun.

Our good friend @HighRevving joined us till Wayanad in his beautiful blue BMW 330i Msports, and then he immediately returned back to Mysore from there. He could not make it to the whole drive due to some other commitments, but it was very nice of him to drive with the convoy till Wayanad. This meant that his car would not be there for the photo session at the resort. Therefore, we decided to take a quick break at Mysore to photoshoot his car (and a couple of other BMWs along with his car) and then we quickly caught up back with the convoy.

It was great meeting everyone and would have loved to stay over in Wayanad, but I had other travel plans booked a couple of months in advance, so it was just the drive for me. It was fun driving with @RakishRam on the Mysore Road and catching up with Dr.AD over breakfast and photoshoot. It was good to meet the rest of the crew, especially the captain who I last met in Ambur with another group, over biryani.

@Dr.AD as usual ran around shooting the cars with utmost passion, leaving us with great pictures of our cars - his effort in my opinion, cannot be overemphasised.

I’ll just leave a couple of pictures here along with my heartfelt thanks to everyone.

I keep coming to Pune about twice a month. Would love to attend one of the Pune meets if my travel dates match with a Pune meet.

Lovey pictures and meet! Envy the bonhomie among the group that often makes such exotic trips.

As this was a recent trip, i have a question on the best route to this resort's area via Mysore. Google shows 2 options, the longer one being via Gundulpet and Sultan Bathery, and estmates a drive of less than 4 hours.

We are planning a trip in a couple of days from Mysore, so I request for an early update. We could not get this resort, but have booked in The Serenity Resort.
