Avoid Madikeri. It's raining cats and dogs. The road after Madikeri towards Mangalore is closed.

I went almost near Chikmagalur through Hassan - Belur last month and the roads are in good shape.

In case you are taking NH-209, the road upto Kadur is superb. I dont know the condition of Kadur - Chikmagalur stretch.

The kadur to chikmangalur stretch was good last month when I went

Just got back from Chikmanglur yesterday after a wedding of a friend over the weekend. Roads are in very good shape except for a few stretches of 2 lane traffic and detour. Went to a café on the way to Mullayanagiri and the winding roads were fantastic. I would rate the roads to be in far better shape than so called Old Madras Road NH Highway

If you are planning any trips towards ooty or madikeri please let me know am planning to ride my bike to that regional and any company will be appreciated. If you can tell me the dates a few weeks in a advance it will help in securing leaves

I don't see a long weekend coming up anytime soon. We can do a one night stay if we leave on Sat morning and return the next day.

Lets plan sometime next month. Do PM me in case you don't hear from me. I might have forgotten owing to busy schedules.

Haha yes trying to get ready but Oct end we are doing a mad music fest at fernhill palace ooty we can plan for that will be fun it is a 2 day event
