Brraj was planning something here itself (mysore road). He was mentioning KRS backwaters, near KRS dam which is quite scenic and is not crowded at all. We can plan for a breakfast on the way, and lunch on the way back.

Get your spouse too, but make sure there are other BHPians who bring their spouse too on that day, or else the better halves won't have any company while we petrolheads discuss spark plugs, alloy wheels and tuning boxes

. Just kidding.

Guys try Makalidurga. But the catch is you should be there by 5:30 or 6 before sunrise, else you miss the splendour! You can do a roundtrip.

It was a wonderful meet and as mentioned by others "Drive to Ladakh/Leh" dominated the show. Avinash, Vikram Sir and Vivek shared their drive experiences and it felt as if we were taken to Ladakh/Leh. Also, it was nice to meet some of the members for the first time.

OT: What happened after the meet!

1:30 AM: Meet ends
2:45 AM: Reached home after the meet.
3:15 AM: My pregnant wife's water breaks.(She was 2 days short of 36 Weeks. The due date was around Nov 10th)
3:25 AM: Started towards hospital
3:30 AM: Admitted her in Apollo Hospital. Since it was 1 month before due, doctors monitored her for an hour.
4:30 AM: They decided to perform a C-Section at 6:00AM
6:36 AM: She delivered a baby boy.

I think we were saved by the skin of our teeth as we had only a 30 min window after I reached home and her labor started.

Even during the meet, I spoke to her a couple of times and everything was fine. Hence I didn't show any urgency while driving back from the meet. In fact on the way to the hospital, we were discussing how quickly things were progressing.. She did ask me to skip the meet as according to her, she had an intuition that she might go into labor. but, looking at my enthusiasm to attend the meet, she relented and asked me to go. at the worst case, she thought she will call for the ambulance and go to the hospital. We are glad that everything went fine and we have a precious baby to add to our family.

First of all, you should not have left her unattended during such critical period, even if she had one month to conceive. Any way, thank your wife for her courage, allowing you to go out. Hope All is well.

. Only difference - the supreme commander is with parents and I am here alone in Bangalore, counting the days!
