I wish I could but I've already made another plan for this weekend. Will surely miss this drive:(

Drive this weekend (12th June 2011, Sunday) to Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary

Meeting Point: IIMB (If required) and NICE Road Exit (Usual Spot)

Time: Nice Road Exit (0700 AM), IIM B (0630 AM)

Just for info guys. Based on a few queries I have received

This is a one day drive. The place is approximately 130 KMs from bangalore and before Mysore. If we reach by around 9, we spend about 2-3 hours there, we should be back by around well before 0400 PM. It depends on how long the group wants to stay there though.

I am in as if now. Some work in office on Saturday which might run into late night hence might have to cancel at the last minute if that happens.

I will follow this thread and will decide soon. This would be a first meet for me here in Bangalore. My wife and daughter would join me . I live in Ideal Homes lay out of RajaRajeshwari Nagar, nice to see many cars with team-bhp stickers (some parked right next to my apartment).

Well it is primarily a bird Sanctuary, so bird watching is going to be the main theme and basically a good time for the photographers making it for this trip. We can stay on shore and watch the birds or we can take the boats near the smaller islands to get up close. Not to mention the fact that it is infested with crocs.
