I'm in for 15th morning (with spouse), please update the first rendezvous point so early in the morning as I am not acquainted to the route. I live in HSR and will be driving in my 4 wheels.

I feared so as I vaguely remember seeing the board. So what is the plan now? Sunrise surely happening by 5.54am for this Sunday.

Ok, Lets go there,
The drive will be fun for sure.
and 6 AM is close to 5:54

, we will try to get there in time for sunrise (if possible by talking to the gate guys!)
But, we are going there for good!

Suggestion : Just before you start the climb towards Nandi Hill; the road passes thru' a passageway; it is small patch of road between 2 hills.

You get an awesome view of the sunrise from here (not as nice as one from Nandi but yea, you will have a good view).

So, if it looks like an early sunrise, you can try this option!

Perfect. So 15th it is. I will be coming alone, as wife and kid want to pass out on this one.

Best meeting point will be in front of Columbia Asia hospital in the service lane. We always meet at this point and it is easy for everyone. So, byt 0330 lets meet there and then push off by around 0400 AM

As for discipline, let us all ensure to watch our speeds and have a great small outing and (please) no heroics. And when returning especially, be very very careful of the speed traps. They can detect your speed almost a KM ahead.

Would have loved to join you guys at Nandi but have to drop parents at the airport later in the morning.

One thing to note - try reaching Nandi hills a little early. One Sunday, I reached at 5:45 am and found a big queue for the tickets to the top. Missed the sunrise, standing in the queue.

By the way, just checked. The sunrise is at sharp 5:54 am on 15th May.

Thanks for the heads up. I also thought the same. Once I went there at night around 2am and it was buzzing with people.
