PM me for other details or if any doubts.
I shall update you on the proceedings as well.

Remember : Best days to view the aircraft display area would be first 2-3 days. i.e 9th, 10th or 11th (Later few aircrafts may go back).

Cheers !
I have registered fpr the show but not sure if I can bring my camera along with? read the admission policy but it does not give any information about carrying camera or phone, you have any idea?

Re: Quick Meets at Bangalore

With regards to the Airshow, the general visitor pass is Rs 400 and it is mentioned for "Access to Air Display Viewing Area only" does this include the area near the static display.
If i remember from the last time i went (ie 2007) i paid rs 750/- where i could enter the Exhibition area and the area guarded by the rails where the static displays were. Not sure if this is the same. Hence i am holding off buying the online ticket.

Re: Quick Meets at Bangalore

i purchased from the AeroIndia site too and haven't received any confirmation mail yet either. have taken a printout of the transaction though.

btw, they've mentioned in the T&C that they'll not allow bags in the venue. does this include camera bags too? i'm planning to take two additional lenses and a P&S and these don't exactly fit in my pocket

From what i heard from people who have been there before, no camera bags will be allowed. You'll have to lug your gear in your hands

Re: Quick Meets at Bangalore

I also just booked two tickets for the 12th. Will take the camera, but after reading a post here, so does that mean we will not have access to the static display??

That is bad then

Re: Quick Meets at Bangalore

Just picked up the Air Show ticket for Rs 1500/- from Garuda Mall, there is a stall on the GF.
From the orgainizer there, he mentioned the Rs400/- was only for viewing the Airshow not to walk near the static displays. Hence went in for the 1500/-. i asked if cameras were allowed he said yes. forgot to ask if camera bags were :(

what comprises the static display and is it worth that money? i've got a ticket for the 9th and will be getting two for the weekend (wife and me). hence wanted to know if the static display is really worth it.

Re: Quick Meets at Bangalore

@IronHawk - the static displays are the parked aircrafts behind a barricade. The ticket also allows you entry into the Exhibition areas incase your in the mood to pick up a F18
Now even though the Organizer did say the Rs400/- was only to view the airshow on another online forum (bangalorephotographyclub) it is mentioned the RS 400/- is for both.
As you have a ticket for the 9th you would be the best person let us all know. You can pick up the other tickets accordingly and be ready for terrible traffic on the weekend.

Re: Quick Meets at Bangalore

Guys, I checked the website and the 1500 ticket comes under the business visitor class. And by the way, for business visitor it is 1500 for weekdays and 1000 for weekends

Re: Quick Meets at Bangalore

once you buy online, where do you get the physical ticket? will it be at one of the counters at the show or you have to go to some specific location before and collect it.
