Hello team-bhpians,

We seem to have no luck with Sunny this time. Had a word with the owner as well, but he is not settling for anything less than Rs. 900. So be it, this wont stop us from having a great meet and enjoy the food at Sunny' at the same time. Nonetheless, as agreed he will make an arrangement for us seperately, even though we are going for a-la-carte.

So here are the final meet details :

Meet Topic : Mumbai-Pune Team-bhp mega meet
Date and Time : 11th June 2011, 7.30pm Onwards
Venue : Sunny Da Dhaba
Location: Its on old Mumbai-Pune NH4 between Lonavala and kamshet:
The dhaba is @ 9 km from Lonavala toll naka on old Nh4 while driving toward pune. It is at right side of the highway while going from lonavala toward pune. Take proper U turn for the sake of safety, don't drive wrong side though it is few meters.

While driving from pune toward lonavala by old NH4 , the dhaba is on left side of the highway. Its about 24 km from the intersection of dehuroad katraj byepass and highway coming from Nigadi.

IMPORTANT NOTE : Sunny Da Dhaba does not have card facility + its an expensive place, please carry enough cash for yourself.

Reiterating few more important things from previous / parked threads:
Guys, since this will turn out to be a large meet (60+), lets please set some ground rules:

1. Obey ALL traffic rules
2. No racing. Lets drive nice & enjoy our cars / the company of other BHPians. Let the Team-BHP cars set an example to other road users
3. Gentleman language at the meet
4. Food Option : No Fixed cost, hence a-la-carte. You pay as you order!
5. Keep the account clear
I would have actually liked to highlight this whole post, because i cannot stress enough on how important this is.

Please don't take money for granted. It leaves a bitter after-taste. Find out approximately how much it will cost and carry the money with you. Don't make the organisers regret doing what they did. It will affect all future meets.

You could be worth crores, but your negligence to pay a few hundred rupees will leave you branded as a cheapo.

If you must leave early, go up to the organiser and pay in advance. There is no problem with that. Nothing to feel odd about. You came, it's unfortunate you have to leave. Pay up and leave. Keep the account clear. None of your friends should have to pay for you, remember, they WILL discuss it when the bill arrives.

I suggest we make small groups, and one guy in that group should take the lead to manage / clear the accounts.

Just to be clear: The cost per person is Rs. 900 but it's À la carte? So if one person orders 5 things and the other 2, both pay 900 each?

I suggest,
we will set fixed menu equal to last meet at sunny.
The items will be arranged in buffet style.
One can take whatever he want from the buffet menu.
The food items will be repeated as needed.
In this case, there will be no direct ordering from anyone for any item.
Ultimately, we will get the same food if we go by fixed cost system but will pay by the no of dishes of each item of the fixed menu we ordered.
In this case, there will be no pain during accounting.

Each one have to pay the contribution that will be accounted after final bill, that may be rs 500 or rs 900 or rs 1000.

No Tejas, we are not going ahead with Rs. 900 option, it is purely a-la-carte, you pay for what you order.

Ashish, i suggest lets not do this, one guy will have to be dedicated for this job. Plus there will be confusion in terms of who had what and what not, and some people will feel, i didnt have much so why should I pay such large amount.

I understand the hassles we will have to manage, given that its a large meet and a-la-carte. Lets try a pure a-la-carte it this time. It should work. However, i would suggest your approach in a small group of like-minded people

Yes I mean TTMM, Tera Tu Mera Mai but for small small groups and not individuals. ex. group of few vegies orders together and share the bill evenly.

No rajababues this time.

I will start from 12mati @4pm,
will be in pune @6:30pm.
Its too hectic to drive 330km specially 160 km from sunny to 12mati at night.
So this time, i may park my car somewhere along dehuroad katraj bye-pass and get into the any car going to Sunny.
