I guess its a Toyota Fortuner you are looking at. No Brainer! lol:
If you can stretch a bit, you could consider X1.

This, I am afraid would not be a seven seater!!!
I want seven seater. X1 is 5 seater.
I heard its good for off roading and not that comfy on normal road.
What about Santa fe guys ?

BMW X1 is a Rear Wheel Drive only SUV. It's the most road focussed SUV under 30lakhs, it's not made to be taken off-road.
Unfortunately, most of the BIG SUVs are pseudo 7 seaters. None of them can seat all the 7 people comfortably (Except Xylo). Your best bet in my opinion would be Captiva or T-Fort. Not sure about the other SUVs like Santa-Fe, Outlander, Montero etc

I meant fortuner is good for off roading.
The only problem for me is i want seven seater otherwise i would go for X1.
I TD captive and Pajero SFX. Captive overall didn't impress me and Pajero looks old but it's a great SUV.
Is there any 7 seater SUV gonna launch on 2011 Jan?

Mahi's World SUV, Safari Upgrade are expected in 2011. But not sure if they would be launched in Jan 2011. Also I dont think there are any launches in Jan 2011.
Great off-roading, equally easy in the city, impressive presence, very comfortable in rows one and two, and a decent third row, great all-in-one cabin entertainment system, price tag ~20L, 4x2 and 4x4 options - have you considered the Endy?
everybody suggesting Toyota Fortuner - can somebody atleast assure that its okay to buy this beast eventhough the brakes for this behemoth are not assuring enough?
I have been hearing a lot of bad points on the braking efficiency of Fortuner. But again I want to get a real feedback from the people who use it on a daily basis.
^^ The Actual braking performance of the Fortuner is at par with other SUV of similar design. It only lacks feel which requires getting used to initially. I know because i drive one.
I've recently taken a 10-12KM test drive on Santa Fe 4x4. Even after having a snappy 2.0L CRDI Tucson as my daily drive and also having driven the Petrol Santa Fe extensively abroad, the 2.2L Santa Fe CRDI motor has taken me completely by surprise. Holy Cow!!! this mutha of an engine pulls like an electric train and the gearing is well sorted out for our driving conditions. In terms of outright power, nothing comes close to the 2.2L Santa Fe CRDI, not even the 3L Fortuner. Only if Santa Fe 4x4 was priced in the Fortuner territory, Hyundai would have had another repeat customer in me.
The only problem I have with Fortuner is the noise and interiors. Otherwise it is one of the best. If 3rd row space is not very important I would suggest YETI.
2011 may also see the launches of flagship SUVs from Mahindra and TATA and possibly the DUSTER from renault.

How about the middle row?
I think pricing is not bad. 2x4 is 22 lacks and 4x4 is 23 lacks. You can check it in hyundai indian website.
