I own a BYD and I cannot tell you how many times I step out of the house just to drive the car. My decision was not based on all these calculations you are performing, its a second car so I decided to splurge and live once. About the car itself

* Drives like a dream
* Enough mileage for local trips, I charge once in 2 weeks
* Enough mileage for reasonable long trips (bangalore to chennai is a no brainer, I did Chennai to Madurai, also a no brainer, but anything beyond that needs planning)
* Com-for-ta-ble ... seats are great, driving position is great, electronics are spot on

So if you over think things, evaluate it carefully. If you want to unadulterated over the top excitement, its the BYD. Not any other EV, the BYD atto3 specifically. No other EV comes close
