I have heard loads of people in Delhi call the car Grand 'Khatara'. And the people I know there who have the car are highly dissatisfied with it. I don't know the reasons for this though. Moreover, I haven't really come across any reviews/views on the car on this forum either.

Godspeed.

Alok.

for 7 laks i would not bother wasting time not getting the car. its a great car for sure provided u are looking for that kind of a car and dont really care about FE. but for 2005 a 16 lak car for half the price aint bad for sure.

but then did you bothered to ask the seller that why he is selling the car so cheap?
ask him to get it evaluated at any Maruti True Value showrooms or at Automartindia showroom.
then see the difference!

6 lakhs sounds amazing value for 2005 16 lakh car.......

But it needs to be followed up and completley checked, because this sounds a little too good value.

Common complaints with the Vitara:

1. Bad FE
2. Terrible ride quality
3. Soft SUV looks
4. Exhorbitantly priced spare parts.

Butttttttttttt if the car is clean....then the price makes it a steal!

Please let me know the condition of the car once you see it.....

Incase you pass it, i will be interested in buying it..

Willing to accept all the bad points (GTOs post) if I get it at 7L.

bad luck! ... by the time i called someone has already bought it i believe. it went for 5.6 finally. The owner apparently is in some desperate need for some money...hence the low price. wonder why he dint go to true value in that case?

I think the Grand Vitira is a great vehicle and only suffers from a serious drinking problem. I took it for a really long test drive (off-roading and all) and it gave an average of 5kmpl.

yesterday i had a chance to look at vitara the body seemed 2 b of low quality metal. just standing against the car makes the sheet give the sound of click click. rest of the things i cant comment on since i did not take a test ride.
