Hi All,
I would request all of you to pour-in your comments for what it takes technically & economically for the regular maintainence of HD.Is it too taxing economically.
I am looking forward to own XL883. Please suggest.

Surasen, it would be worth the wait, if you buy the XL883 once HD have set up their factory. As the prices are expected to go down by 30% from current levels. As for your second questions, let the current harley owners share their feedback...cheers.

Harley Davidson is setting up a assembly plant in Bawal,Rajasthan for their bikes.
So i believe pretty soon you will have a lot cheaper harley's.

Also the engineers there said it is scheduled to complete by feburary 2011 End.

Between you two can you please decide where the plant is coming up - Bawal Haryana or Bawal Rajastan


All the news paper articles I have seen till date supports fz_rider. So T_in_T any supporting evidence of the plant being in Rajasthan?

First service within 30 days, then 12k/1year, and 24k/2 years, Services are all at about 4500-6000 per service. Thats if you dont break anything.

For a bike that costs upwards of 7L to about 34L, you decide if your running is going to be that much, in that much time, and therefore the costs.

Taxing or not, you only would be able to tell.

Life style and leisure bike lovers in central India have one more reason to rejoice as Harley- Davidson India has started its first dealership in at Indore.

“This is our first dealership in Madhya Pradesh and it is one of the largest Harley- Davidson showrooms in the country. We are excited to welcome new customers in central India to join our growing family of owners,” said Anoop Prakash, Managing Director, Harley-Davidson India.

The dealership in Indore will offer the entire Harley-Davidson India line up of 12 motorcycle models, in addition to Harley-Davidson riding gear, apparel and merchandise, said company officials. The prices range of Harley-Davidson motorcycles available in Indore will be from Rs 583,409 (ex-showroom, Indore) to Rs 2,509,431 for its top end models.

The company assembles 9 out of its 12 models available in India in its Bawal, Haraya plant and plans to launch more models in India based on the response. The company has 30 Harley-Davidson motorcycle models world-wide.

“At present, we do not plan to have more assembling plants but we are surely looking for more dealerships across the country,” said Anoop Prakash.

We plan to open two more dealerships in Jaipur and Pune by the end of this year, added Prakash. Harley Davidson sold around 2,000 premium segment bikes between 2010 and 2012 in India.
