Anku is one of my riding mates and a member here. He used to ride a CBR 954 RR before he upgraded to the Hayabusa.

When are you getting the delivery ?
Where are you located
Ram
Thanks Ram. The Atria mall showroom has a Red Carbon Diavel on display so you can see it if you want.

I am located in Khar West. Delivery is expected by June 7th. Two Diavel's have reached India in the first lot, one is mine (standard black) and the other is a carbon for a buyer based in Kolkotta. They are awaiting customs clearance etc.

Personally, I can't wait to get my hands on it. With the monsoon expected shortly, I am keen to get as man kms on it as soon as possible before the rain gods play spoilsport. I checked the Diavel out on a recent trip to London...its great. Also, ordered some month watering Ducati accessories for it - Touring windscreen, frame plugs, carbon tank guard etc. I should get them in mid-end June.

I also got some really riding gear with me from my London trip - Roof V8 Boxer helmet in satin finish (Orange and black), boots, gloves and a upper body Knoxx mesh body armour suit....will post pics of the same when I get the time.

So, basically, everything is in place (incl the parking spot for the bike) but the bike.

More later

Cheers

All local Japanese market motorcycles have the speedo graduated only till 180kmp/h . Sure shot way of spotting a Japanese market grey import.

Indeed. before I learnt this fact about Japanese speed limit set at 180km/h , I saw a Gixxer 750 and was surprised to read the speedo calibrated to 180km/h only. I thought it was a fake ( a 400 stickered up), but after reading up the speed limit for Japanese market, I figured it was a Japan import.

In France and Germany, motorcycles are limited to 100bhp, something UK buyers seem chuffed about !

Re: Superbikes spotted in India

Some bikes we spotted at Shoolagiri yesterday on our usual sunday morning ride.

The BMW K1200S is apparently one of the only two such bikes in Blore.

Sad to see the limited edition R1 in such an abused state. The owners luck seems to be in better shape than his rear tire. It also had no plates so it's most definitely not a clean bike.

Apologies for the crappy phone cam pics. I forgot to get my camera along.

Here are the pics.

We also spotted a long trail of HD's but no pics of those bikes.

Re: Superbikes spotted in India

Hey Adi, the pics came out well bro. I loved the BMW, the rear wheels were looking awesome in yellow. Didnt expect to see so many bikers out for a Sunday ride, and it was nice to see most of them with riding gear.

No pics of the 2 CBR's? Saw them in flesh for the first time, looked a little smaller than what I had imagined, but nice.

First off, thanks for coming along.

I prefer to ride out on sunday mornings and to Krishnagiri specifically for this one reason. A lot of bikers head out to this part of town as the roads are great and the distance is not too much. The HD's also ride every sunday morning on this stretch but they dont ride as early as we do.

I forgot the snap the CBR's and the our ninja's with so many bigger ones around.

Re: Superbikes spotted in India

Last night at Shivaji Park (Mumbai) a white FZ1 was spotted sometime past midnight.

While I was on my way back from work, I was just sitting at the park and talking on the phone this guy pulled next to my baby CBR to have a look at the bike.

He was a very humble parsi guy who stopped and asked a few questions about the ride quality and comfort. Asked if he could sit on the bike and get the feel.

I was so engrossed drooling at his machine, honestly was not able listen to what questions he was asking.

Sorry, could not click any pics but the bike sounded simply awesome.

That sounds like one of the guys I rode with this past weekend. The FZ1 looked pretty new and had a stock exhaust right?
