Bivin Yamaha has a matt black on the colour lineup for the 2010 bikes and can be purchased from a showroom. So all black R1's will be carbon copies .

Here is one (Carbon Copy) in the Mumbai showroom.

Always told every friend of mine that the first few lakhs i earn will surely go for the bike. Soo many lakhs down yet no sign of the bike. Wish i was still in college.

I think older R1 with 4 projector lamps looked better. The present one has only two and they are too bug-eyed. But yes, black and gold looks superb.

^ The front fairing seems to have been changed to that of a later model. Lovely bike to ride on a daily basis!

Well maintained for a bike that's from the early 90's.
Did you get a chance to listen to those pipes?

Sorry fellas that is a 1994/5 blade it has the foxeye headlamps compression and rebound damping etc: This weekend completed a total rebuild on exactly the same model that was stored for 4 years.

Spotted this behemoth on Brigade Road last Saturday. Loud music was being played from it and the neon lights blinded most of us around. Some people thought it was an Alien Space-Ship!

P.S. Sorry for posting this horrible picture, it was all that I could manage.

It is indeed a Honda Goldwing. In fact, a few minutes before I spotted this, I saw a Honda Valkyrie and the 'dude' riding it seemed to be 1/4th the size of the bike!

OT: I'd come across a grey 997-I 911 Cabriolet sometime back. And I'd also spotted the famous blue 997-I 911 turbo on the same day! Needless to say, I was chuffed.

Worth a try suhas. I dont think the rider is wearing a helmet. Too bad that people have loads of money and not even a shred of a brain.

Yes, I rode it. Its the second such blade with the same exhaust that I rode. Not loud enough.

The bike seems to be backdated a year. When I saw it I knew its a '94 but the RC book says '93. Before '94 it had 2 round headlights.

No, the bike is in mira road now. I used to see this bike in Bandra in the 90's just after it was imported.
