Triumph has launched the Speed Triple 1200 RR Breitling Limited Edition in India and showcased the same to riders at New Delhi last weekend. This will be a limited production motorcycle with only 270 units made worldwide and matched with Triumph Owners Exclusive Breitling Chronomat B01 42 Triumph watches.



The Limited Editon features a bespoke paint scheme with premium gold hand-painted detailing, leather seat with French stitching, exclusive high-specification Akrapovič silencer and ultra-light carbon fibre parts. Breitling’s presence is in the details: a custom Breitling start screen, the Breitling logo laser-etched onto the machined rear wheel finisher, and a distinct gold Breitling badge on the tank.

The Speed Triple 1200RR is powered by a Liquid-cooled, 1160cc, 12 valve, DOHC, inline 3-cylinder engine that produces 180 PS / 177.6 bhp (132.4 kW) @ 10,750 rpm and a maximum torque of 125 Nm @ 9,000 rpm. The bike also features modern rider aids like Öhlins semi-active suspension and Brembo Stylema brakes.

The bike cost is expected to cost ~32L on road and India is expected to receive only two units.

Certain customers don't want publicity. The 3rd (actually the first) was delivered a while ago and kept with customer. It was not revealed in the Triumph launch event.

This solves my confusion. I came across pictures of a Speed Triple 1200 RR Breitling Edition clicked at Triumph Delhi sometime in end October and I was told that the owner apparently also got home India’s first RSV4 Factory, India’s first RS660 and India’s first BMW R1300 GS Option 719 Tramuntana.

It is however a little surprising that only Triumph Delhi was involved in all the 3 deliveries. Was this a deliberate private import done with the help of Triumph Delhi or can we expect couple of more 1200RR Breitling Editions through other Triumph dealerships in India?

From what I know, bookings were open for customers, and Triumph India got allocation for 3 bikes. All 3 were picked up customers in Delhi. This was not a private import.

The gentleman who you have mentioned also owns a few streetfighter V4s, panigale V4, Busa Anniversary edition, and the new Hypermotard 690 mono.

Another Speed Triple 1200RR Breitling Edition has been delivered in India. This motorcycle, numbered 175 out of the 270 production units, has been delivered by BU Bhandari Triumph, Pune.
