Bimota KB998 unveiled | To replace Kawasaki ZX-10RR in WorldSBK Racing

Bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team, new for 2025 and run by Provec Racing which had successfully run the KRT team with the ZX-10RR, has released the first image of the Bimota KB998 superbike that will compete next season.

Bimota is a partner company for Kawasaki with Kawasaki Motors Europe owning 49.9% stake in the Italian company through its subsidiary Italian Motorcycle Investment. Kawasaki Racing Team had earlier announced that Bimota is partnering with Kawasaki in a joint venture which will result in a Bimota chassis with Kawasaki engine (plus allied technology), competing in WorldSBK. The donor engine for the resulting KB998 is based on the Ninja ZX-10RR.

Remains to be seen how these developments will influence the future Kawasaki superbike line for regular production.

The production version, KB998 Rimini launched at £36.6K in the UK.

Regulations stipulate that 250 homologated units must be produced and available for public sale before December 31, 2025, with a further 250 required in the following 12 months.
