Thanks Nitish. It was almost 9 months back that I was checking on bikes, the other two are hence sold, so will not be of much help on this. If you need any more help feel free to DM, will be happy to chat.

Took the bike out today to check how does the new Exhaust sound, and must say it is very loud, this after Rapid bike really mellows down the sound. I also ended up making a video of the Flames this time, the last 10 seconds are absolutely crazy.

For my friends who love bikes shooting flames, see the last 10 seconds.

This exhaust is a cop magnet, and I will soon be removing it after a couple of more rides. I will move back to Stock with Akrapovic headers for now. Will switch back to my CF Akrapovic in long run, as it has the most soothing soundtrack of all I have tried or heard.

The Shorty exhaust looks so beautiful though.

Today's partner in crime the ZX10R, we switched rides for sometime and this in itself is such a competent bike, pulls so very clean.

With the rains in the air it was a quick run, itching to take it for another long ride, hoping weather will relent soon!!

Aman! Congrats again!

Amazingly put-together thread man, every small detail was covered. Epic!

Something tells me you are only maybe nearby halfway done with customizing it. It will be interesting to see what comes next apart from the list you mentioned.

Anyways, here to wishing you many many more miles with the beauty.

Cheers
Krishna

Re: Mark 13 - The Wolf - My BMW S1000RR Pro

Congratulations @Athek !

Such a lovely thread and what an attention to detail. Being an owner of S1000RR, i can attest each and every point of your observation. In such a short period of your ownership, you have completed whatever possible mods to your bike barring few. I would suggest you to experience and understand the engine character and then go for Bt-Moto tune. It will completely transform your bike by removing all restrictions put at factory level. BT-Moto tune is the best mod you can have.

Apart from mods, it’s the best bike which one can enjoy equally on track and as well on street, unlike other litre class bikes which are much more demanding on streets.

Keep an eye on fork seals, they tend to leak and it’s a common issue with BMWs.

Enjoy your possession and keep updating this thread.

Amazing, congratulations to you on your new mega Iron horse. The exhaust was an harmonic tune to my ears and it was as good as a strong tea on an early morning day, woke me up in an instance. You know your exhaust is loud when a random car feels a threat (the anti theft alarm was funny). Happy Miles and PLEASE take this black beauty on track, add this in your priority list too.

Amazing bike, this is my favorite color scheme in the s1000rr. I'm looking forward to see how the bike is after you are done installing all the mods. If possible could you also post a video with the stock header and stock muffler.

Thanks a lot, ya BT tune mod is definitely going to happen shortly, there is another place here called "Motoden" in bangalore. A friend has a flash from them though for previous gen RR. I am somehow not too comfortable going to them, but an option that can be considered closer to home. I will definitely keep an eye on fork seals, I know about that shortcoming and hence got fork seal cover quickly.

Thanks, I do not have the stock sound and difficult to put stock header pipes back as that is lot of work, but if you pick a video from any Influencer they will have a video with stock exhaust sound.

Re: Mark 13 - The Wolf - My BMW S1000RR Pro

Hearty congrats on the BMW !! One of the most comfortable superbike as consistently rated in most reviews. And lots of nice additions as well, including a full system Akrapovic exhaust. Sweet. Wishing you a happy ownership all through.

Holy Almighty! This is a LOUD exhaust! How are the HOA/Parking-neighbors letting you scot free.

There is a Cammed V8 Dodge Charger with some insanely loud exhausts in my apartment parking, It is a pleasure to hear that car go up in circles from Ground upto his spot on 7th floor. All public standing on the street below would know who is parking his car at time of the evening.

You got a sweet ride!

Thanks Santosh, I have just had one ride with this exhaust, and yes it is obnoxiously loud. I will be removing it after a couple of rides as this gets irritating after 30 minutes of riding, you just can't ride without the ear plugs. I will move back to my Stock setup or the Akra long can, both sound much more pleasing to the air with the decat.

Well said!
Congratulations on the beast of a bike AtheK. Loved reading the review and the pre-story to find the bike.

My Multistrada heats like anything on a choc-a-bloc traffic and I can only imagine what will be the situation on a Panigale with much higher state of tune!

Some beautiful mods & customization you have done there to make the bike unique and your own. Safe rides and enjoy in best of health buddy!

Re: Mark 13 - The Wolf - My BMW S1000RR Pro

Somehow, we never spoke about you buying a stock used end can. We biker humans are a funny bunch, we get a bike with stock exhaust and start looking for aftermarket exhausts. God, leads us to to a bike with aftermarket exhaust and here we go shopping for a stock exhaust

Congratulation's once again on a beautiful inline four rocket ship and as Krishna said your customization has only begun.

More detailed notes for this comparison please

I know the riding posture is more aggressive in the new 10R compared to the RR.

I was at BMW Museum and Welt 2 weeks ago in Munich and spent some time looking at the Motorad Portfolio past and present and wondered who BMW's buyers are for their sports bikes and why they choose BMW.

Guess I've got my answer now.

Great Review. Happy Riding.
