Ducati India is offering a discount of Rs 1.97 lakh on the Monster. The price of the bike has been reduced from Rs 12.95 lakh to Rs 10.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The offer is valid till November 30, 2023.



The Monster is powered by a 937cc twin-cylinder engine that puts out 109 BHP @ 9,250 rpm and 92 Nm @ 6,500 rpm. The engine is mated with a 6-speed gearbox via a slipper clutch and Ducati Quick Shift.

In India, the Monster is available in two variants: standard and SP. The Monster SP was launched in May this year at a price of Rs 15.95 lakh (ex-showroom). It comes equipped with an adjustable 43 mm Ohlins front fork, Brembo brakes, a Termignoni exhaust, a steering damper and a lightweight lithium-ion battery.

I have hardly seen them on roads, the new design does not seem to have gone well. Seems like a year end stock clearance exercise.

With the Street Triple RS finally available on showroom floors, I can’t imagine too many Monsters being sold. The Striple RS is simply spec for spec far more capable machine and available at pretty much the same landed price (CKD vs CBU also playing its part perhaps).

This is, like rightly said, simply a year end stock clearance - nothing more.

Also the new Monster has really lost its appeal - the previous one used to look like a big bike - the new one is just another FZ if not for the red!
