2024 Honda CBR600RR unveiled

The baby 'Blade is back!

Honda brings its middleweight supersport back into the mainstream lineup in 2024. The 2024 CBR600RR will be powered by an inline four-cylinder, 16V DOHC engine produces 119hp @ 14,250rpm and features an assist/slipper clutch and standard fit quickshifter.

Throttle By Wire control – derived from the RC213V-S – along with addition of a Bosch 6-axis IMU delivers 3 default riding modes, plus two custom User modes for adjustment of Engine Power, Engine Braking, Wheelie Control and 9-level HSTC. Cornering ABS and Rear Lift Control are also part of the package.

The chassis comprises an aluminium twin-spar frame, aluminium swingarm, Honda Electronic Steering Damper, 41mm Showa Big Piston USD forks and Unit Pro-Link Showa rear shock. Dual, radial-mount four-piston front calipers work 310mm floating discs. Designed to deliver best-in-class aerodynamic performance, the aggressive styling includes downforce-generating front winglets. A full colour TFT screen completes the specification. An HRC Race Kit will also be an option, for circuit use only.

Like all bikes in Honda’s supersport family, the 24YM CBR600RR will be available in HRC Grand Prix Red HRC TriColour and stealthy Matt Ballistic Black Metallic.

Gorgeous. Glad they've stuck with the undertail exhaust on this one. Any idea why they don't offer this in the Indian market? I'm guessing it has something to do with our import policy perhaps. Although that doesn't explain why Honda sells the 650 here then. They sell the Fireblade, they sell the 650R, and they sell the H'ness and call it a big bike but they don't sell the 600RR. Make it make sense.

600RR was never updated for the markets with major emissions compliance requirements - Europe saw the last in 2017.

With the return of the EU spec models - we "could" get a BS6 version now, i.e. if Honda is interested in the market.

Thanks for the clarification, CrAzY dRiVeR. That would be a MASSIVE treat for fans of Big Red here if it happens. It'll likely cost a pretty penny too, I'm sure. Upwards of 10L on-road. But if they do bring it here, I have an extra kidney if any one's interested.

The outgoing CBR650R was ~11.5 OTR last year. This could be upwards of 15 OTR if it comes here.

Really hope it comes though- Kawasaki surely is bringing the 2024 ZX6R in the next two months.

As a CBR fanboy, this launch really warms my heart. Hope Honda brings this bike onto our shore to compete with ZX-6R.

LOOKS LIKE THE BEAST WOKE UP FROM ITS SLUMBER!

Really glad to see the Undertail exhaust make a comeback! Reminds me of the RC 211V's rear section from the MotoGP era!

Re: 2024 Honda CBR600RR unveiled

The ZX-6R itself is probably going to be priced at around 12.5L ex-Showroom, with an OTR price greater than 15L in Bangalore.

I wouldn’t expect this Honda to arrive at anything less than 17-18L OTR if and when it comes. At that price, I don’t know how many track aficionados will still prefer it over a ZX-10R. It could very well end up dead on arrival.

Re: 2024 Honda CBR600RR unveiled

The reviews are out - the ZX6R sure has good competition coming in -

Any rumours of an India launch?
