Since I rode the bike one way which is approximately 180 km, I want to tell you how it feels to ride this beautiful machine.
Riding Impressions
Performance on Highways-
1. This machine is a ballistic missile. Go full throttle on it and in 1 or 2 seconds you are above the century mark.
2. The pickup and acceleration are such that after going full-throttle the world stopped for me my initial instinct was just to hold up the handlebars or I would fly into the air.
3. You can easily cruise at 100-120 kmph and even higher unmentionable speeds ( forum rule no. 11) with a pillion in a very relaxed way with minimal wind blast.
Performance in City-
1. This bike is very easy to ride in the city. I didn't feel 238 kgs of kerb weight once it was in motion. The size of the bike is very big but once I started riding it, it felt just like some other light 300-400cc bike.
2.
The beauty of an inline 4-cylinder engine is you can ride a 1000cc bike at 35-40 kmph even in 4th gear and it feels so smooth and refined. Single-cylinder 300cc- 400 cc bikes struggle at this speed in higher gear.
3. This machine will not scare you if you are cautious with throttle in the city. Ride it in 4th gear at 40 kmph, 5th gear at 60 kmph and 6th gear at 70 kmph and even if you give quick throttle at respective speeds and gears then it will not be too keen to go ahead instantly.
4. This bike is good if you are upgrading directly from a 40 bhp bike and you are mature enough to give respect to the throttle.
Seat Height-
Very good. Even a person with a 5 ft 6-inch height can touch their foot on the ground while sitting on it.
Seat Comfort-
Good, the seats are wide enough with thick foam padding.
Riding Posture-
Very very comfortable. The riding stance is upright, you don't need to bend forward to reach the handlebars. You will not feel pressure on your back, wrist and shoulders.
Exhaust Note-
It's a wolf under sheep's clothing.
In the stock exhaust, there is minimal sound until 5000 rpm.
But once I revved it above 5k rpm, it conveyed to me that " I am an inline 4-cylinder, don't take me lightly". You will hear a sweet 4-cylinder
symphony after 5000 rpm. A simple full system exhaust system change will do wonders.
While riding it in the stock exhaust, I didn't hear or feel the exhaust note that much but the public did and everyone's eyes were on me while I was accelerating hard.
Mileage-
8 to 10 kmpl in City.
13 to 15 kmpl on the highway
NVH-
1. There is no rattling in the bike.
2. There are no vibrations.
3. The engine is very refined like an inline 4 should be.
Braking-
Spot on braking, tap on the brakes and you will be at NADA from a higher triple-digit speeds.
The rear brake bite is good too unlike most motorcycles where braking power is mostly from the front.
The brake bite is progressive and not instant.
