Pleasantly surprised by the pricing for a change given how most Kawasaki models have seen significant price bumps in the last few years.

In 2019, the 6R was launched at 1049k. 10R was at 1399k back then.
Fast forward to today, 10R has taken a huge leap to 1647k which is a jump of near 250k. Considering that, a mere 60k increase for the 6R after 4+ years is not bad at all.

Hope this delivers a good jolt to those demanding outrageous prices for their abused Daytonas and 6Rs.
Saw a clown wanting 1225k for a 4 (5?) year old 6R in KA. A brand new one with BH registration will be cheaper out the door LOL

Its an exceptional bike and the pricing is absolutely superb. Kawasaki has single handedly done more for the Indian biking community than all the other big bike manufacturers combined. The recent ZX4R and now this. Everyone else is just looking to extract their pound of flesh by selling bikes at a huge margin while Kawasaki is literally ruling the roost by offering decent to good bikes at a sensible price.

Interestingly 6R now comes with a TFT screen relacing the old boring LCD screen.

Few years ago you could buy a full fledged 1000cc inline 4 sports bike for 10lakhs. Those were the real “Achhe Din”. Inflation these days is killing our spirit. ☹️

New Litre class bikes have been over the 10 lakh mark for over a decade mate, that too here in Delhi where usually they are the cheapest!

You know I had the same rude shock this afternoon when I was speaking to a friend of mine and I said to him that I thought one could get a ltr class supersport for around 10 lakhs plus. When he told me how much a Ninja 1000, ZX10r, and Panigale cost now, I shook my head in disbelief and horror. In full disclosure, I am new to big bikes, currently I ride a Street Twin and not a fan of the faired bikes so have not been keeping track of these supersports/sportsbikes. But my God, 15 lakhs is an average baseline for sportsbikes

Z1000 used to cost around 10 lakh few years ago, if I remember correctly.

The last time a 1L sports bike cost around 11L was back when the 2009-2015 R1s/CBR's were new. A ZX10R, 2 gens ago still were around 13L.

Nah mate, the Z1000 was last sold in India as a new bike in 2017, the ex showroom price was 15 lakhs+, here's a link for ref

You're probably mistaking it for the Ninja 1000 which was launched as CKD coming from Thailand , making use of the FTA , it was priced substantially lower around 11.3 ish IIRC and was the most value for money bike in the country then.

Oops, I was talking about Ninja 1000, in 2017 it was launched @9.98 lakhs.

Kawasaki should have launched the Zx-4RR here instead of the regular ZX-4R, although both will be pricey for a 400 CC inline four and on paper the 636 engine is much better and vfm compared to the 400, but in reality the Zx-4RR would have been much better for street use, one can at least try to redline the 400 and have some fun unlike holding on to dear life while doing the same on the 636 lol:not to mention the ergonomics of the ZX-4RR is slightly better for longer rides compared to the committed and track focused seating position of the ZX-6R.

Hi All,
Got a ZX6R home 10 days back and installed some basic accessories for protection and safety such as Fork slider, Engine/Frame Slider, Rear Spools, Tank Pad, Dash Screen guard and a Ohlins Steering Damper. Can any expert suggest on what click count should the steering damper be set at as the manual has not provided any data, currently set it at 18 clicks.

Congratulations Raja. This is one lovely bike. Is it just the photo perspective or the exhaust is literally that big?

Enjoy the screamer in good health :)

Hi Abhi,
Thanks, and yes the exhaust is a bit large in shape like a bazooka, and yeah sure its a fun screamer at any gear above 40kmph.
