Honda has announced the launch of the 2022 Gold Wing Tour in India. The brand's flagship touring bike is imported via the CBU route and costs Rs. 39.20 lakh (ex-showroom).



The 2022 model year Gold Wing Tour is identical to the outgoing model. As expected, the motorcycle comes loaded with features, including LED headlights with dual LED fog lamps, cruise control, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity as well as a navigation system. It even comes with an electronically adjustable windscreen.

Powering the Gold Wing is the same 1,833cc, liquid-cooled 6-cylinder engine that develops 124.7 BHP @ 5,500 rpm and 170 Nm @ 4,500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission that comes with a creep function. There are four riding modes - Tour, Sport, Econ and Rain.

The Gold Wing Tour is based on a diecast aluminium twin-beam frame and features double-wishbone suspension at the front with a Pro-Arm swingarm at the rear.

Other notable features include Honda Selectable Torque Control, Integrated Starter Generator, Idling Stop system, Hill Start Assist and Dual Combined Brake System.

I don't know what the folks in Honda are smoking. This is atrocious pricing for Goldwing. Goldwing is good touring bike. No questions about that. But this is good 10 lakhs higher than its biggest competitor K1600. I'm expecting a price cut very soon like other Honda big bikes.
