KTM & Brabus team up to unveil new 1300 R superbike

Brabus has partnered with Austrian bike brand KTM to unveil the 1300 R. It's the first-ever motorcycle from the German performance tuner.

The new Brabus 1300 R is based on the KTM 1290 Super Duke, sharing a number of components, including the frame and engine. This includes a 1,301cc V-twin engine producing 180 BHP and 140 Nm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox with Slipper Clutch as standard. The Brabus 1300 R even carries forward the WP semi-active suspension at the front and a mono-shock unit at the rear. Braking on the 1300 R is handled by dual 320 mm discs at the front, and a single 240 mm disc at the rear, with the Duke's SuperMoto ABS as standard.

What differentiates the Brabus is its design and visual cues. The 1300 R from the German brand comes with a new TFT instrument cluster, a 16-litre fuel tank with large functional air ducts on either side, lightweight forged alloy wheels and black ceramic-coated dual exhaust tips; among many others. Brabus has made liberal use of carbon fibre for various parts on its motorcycle, including the headlamp surrounds, belly pan, brake air ducts and the front fenders.

The Brabus 1300 R will be limited to 154 units - 77 of them in Magma Red and the remaining in Signature Black paint schemes, all of which have already been pre-booked.

Aka Honda CB1290R Super Duke. You know someone did a great job when Brabus decides not to touch engine output and suspension.

And it's already sold out. No surpirses there considering the hype this thing generated since its inception.

Adorns the typical Brabus touches with numerous carbon fiber and cnc machines parts. And I am sure that exhaust sounds demonic. A brabus trait. Not to miss the absolutely fabulous LC8 engine.

Such a special machine this. Its going to be so rare that spotting one should be a reason for celebration.

Well done KTM and Brabus. Madness has never been this desirable.
