This is a brilliant product for its intended purpose. Which is to cross continents in comfort, saftey and with riding fun.

However, in the Indian scheme of things I don't see this selling.
Most people opt for the 1250GS adventure tourer even for on road touring. Which is somewhat understandable. For those silky smooth trans European motorways this is perfect.

This newer model has so many little improvemets that the overall riding experience is much more elevated than the previous model .

Been trying to find out how much the estimated price of the GTL version would be but at this point, there's no data anywhere. Dont want to go to the dealership at this early a stage. Definitely have one in my sights. Let's see how life pans out on this one. Keeping fingers crossed.

It should be around 28-30 Lac if we go by the past model years. Good bike for touring if the aim is to ride on highways. I found the front very light and as if it has its own mind. You can consider the RT as well but the equipment levels, especially the engine on the GTL are very different

If we compare GTL range prices in India with other markets, these are very high as the imports are from Germany, unlike GS and other boxter range that benefits from zero import duties via Thailand.

Thanks Sir. I too expect it should be around between 33-35 lac on-road here in Coimbatore. I have been poring over the YouTube reviews of the new bike and as you have said, many reviewers have pointed out that the front end has a bit of its own mind past a particular speed as well.

The aim is purely to provide a more comfortable long distance touring platform for the Mrs and in my case, to enjoy the 1.6 litre in-line 6 cylinder engine.

My current Versys 1000 more than satisfies my touring needs for now. This purchase, if it happens, is more to own a piece of two wheeled history before it becomes history

Spiritual leader Sadhguru reveals why he chose the BMW K1600 49GT for his 100-day, 30,000-km 'Save Soil' journey across the world

Sadhguru said, "If I have to do another 10,000 now, definitely this is my choice. Because of the inline-six engine, there is simply no vibration. The right hand is just fine even after riding for six, seven hours non-stop. Even when we rode like four-and-a-half hours from one gas station to another, there was no buzz or numbness in the hand, which is incredible."

So, in continuation to my previous posts on this thread, bit the bullet and pre-booked. Expect the beast to reach my hands in October. Fingers crossed.
