Queries about a used MV Agusta F3 800 on NS One

Guys -

I just came across this rather rare and interesting bike on NsOne.

https://nsone.in/bike/mv-agusta-f3-800/

I noticed this was marked as booked and now available.

I have loosely followed MV since their first launch of F4 that rivalled 916 in looks. But was never close enough to consider buying one.

I have never ridden an MV before and all my superbike seat time has been on Old generation Ducati superbikes (latest being a 2004 749R)

A few questions that come to mind -

1. Does anyone know this bike? Since I am in Mysore, I am unable to check it out in person and would love some one knowledgeable on MVs to be with me even if I could.

2. Now that there is no Factory support from MV in India (not that it mattered much even when it was), I have a concern on parts and servicing. With the Harley, I do it myself - including designing and making simple things that I cannot source (ex: Givi Top case mounting) and rely heavily on aftermarket ecosystem. I am also restoring an RD to US spec ground-up (with a local mech) - so I am fairly hands-on and willing. I have even designed short offset triple clamps and flatter rockers for 1098 series. But I will not have the time to indulge in design and making things for MV should a need arise.

3. Having said this, working on a modern Superbike could be a different story. I never worked on my Ducatis apart from simple things like changing rearsets, battery, exhaust, EPROM on ECU etc. Always entrusted it to Nichols Mfg in California. Now that I am in Mysore, India, I don't have that luxury.

How hard is it to own and maintain an MV. I have read a few threads from folks who have done some amazing things. Mechanical things don't scare me as much as electronics (but I don't want to take the engine apart and stuff.) - Esp. not having access to diagnostic tools and being out-of-date on the new age stuff. Back in the day, I could download the EPROM image and look through the machine code - of the simple 8 bit micro controller.

Would love to hear out from you guys.

thanks
Krishna

It is a big investment. Keeping it simple and sticking to major players is probably what pays off in the long run.

You will ride it for a few years and a few thousand km every year. Simple periodic maintenance should not take 3-4 weeks to get parts and such.

While the rarity is appreciated, the cost of ownership should not cause a hearburn.

That bike is already sold. There are about 200 MVs in India and now with MV no longer present, a fair amount of them have been changing hands frequently.

There are some still up for sale. I would advise you to do your research and talk to various people before you purchase one. I own 2 - F4RR and a Brutale 1090RR. Both have their idiosyncrasies, but a pleasure to own, warts and all.

I see a F3 parked at motopit and it gets termed as the NSone one as well. Is this a different one?

Rachit - same bike. Motopit fixed the bike and told NS One the issues that are there with this bike. Yet NS One doesn't address the issues, and keeps flipping it to the next unsuspecting customer.
