Tiger 850 Sport : GBP 9,400

So its positioned to perfectly fit the gap between the base Trident and the entry level Tiger 850 Sport, while also sandwiching the entry and middle Street Triple models Street Triple.

Now lets come to the potential Indian pricing.
- Trident 660 : Rs 6.95 L
- Street Triple S : Discontinued
- Tiger Sport 660 : Rs 8.25 L to 8.5 L (my guess)
- Street Triple R : Rs 9.41 L
- Tiger 850 Sport : Rs 11.95 L
It's sad that the Trident and possibly the Tiger 660 are so well priced compared to the UK pricing but the Tiger 850 Sport is a lot more expensive.

At just 100 pounds more than the Tiger 600 it ideally should have been 9.5 - 10l ex showroom but its almost 2l more expensive at 12l

Wonder why it is so? Any particular reason the GBP prices don't translate into India like for like? Perhaps there are higher taxes/duties imposed on bikes above a certain cubic capacity?

Re: Triumph Tiger Sport 660 teased

If they price it anywhere near 8.5L, considering how well they have priced the Trident 660, this bike will find takers. Also, I would like to see it in flesh and test drive it before coming to conclusion about pillion comfort. On the contrary, if this sits too close to Tiger 850 sport, it will be DOA as Tiger 850 is a purpose built and proven touring machine. I will have my eyes on this as this would be a good replacement to my KTM.

Yeah, that was the one thing that stood out like a massively sore thumb! Im sure that if we do a model to model comparison, we will see the full picture.

It is highly likely that Triumph is trying to push customers to the more expensive and likely more profitable higher end variants of the Tiger 900 series. For a little more money than the 850, you can get the retuned 900 (same engine as the 850) and a lot more features.

These were ex showroom prices, so on road it will come to around Rs 10.5 L or higher, depending on the state of registration.
