Wings. They help in creating downforce which helps against wheelies and improves corner exits. All MotoGP bikes have them. This is the same design as RC 16, KTM's MotoGP bike.

As described by @YD14, these are winglets. They provides massive downforce and were mainly used in MotoGp bikes.

Nowadays it is found in road legal bikes like Ducati Superleggra, Ducati v4, Ducati Streetfighter, Honda CBR1000RR and many more. According to Ducati in Superleggra these winglets provide 50Kg downforce @ speeds of 270+.

Re: 2022 KTM RC 8C revealed

Why does it look less of a KTM and more of a Ducati / Daytona to me? I liked KTM’s standout design language, but they’re just getting lazy these days

Re: 2022 KTM RC 8C revealed

Im finding it difficult to get excited by the launch of the RC8C. The recent Superduke 1290 RR with its 1:1 power to weight ratio seemed to be a lot more enticing than this limited edition run. I believe the RC8C is more of a marketing exercise to test the waters and see if customers demand a road ready RC890. I wont be surprised if they showcase a "prototype" of the regular RC890 at EICMA 2021.

Here is the launch video. The frequent camera cuts are really annoying but at least the bike looks different from the usual S - M - L - XL - XXL styling of KTM.
