Suzuki has launched the 2021 V-Strom 650 XT in the Australian market. The adventure bike is expected to debut in India sometime in the near future.



The new V-Strom 650 XT gets an updated engine that is now Euro 5 (BS6) compliant. The 645cc, V-twin unit produces 70 BHP and 62 Nm, which is slightly less than the BS4 version.



Besides the revised engine, the V-Strom 650 XT comes with colour options. These include Metallic Oort Grey, Pearl Brilliant White and Candy Daring Red/Glass Sparkle Black.



The BS6-compliant V-Strom 650 XT was showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo. However, the launch of the bike was delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Wow never realized that even the old Vstorm had telescopic forks. Nowadays when even 160cc bikes have USD forks it looks odd to see these big expensive bikes come with older telescopic forks that too non adjustable

I'm not passionate about bikes (rather superbikes), so I'm not so updated in this area.
But knowing what Suzuki has done with the Intruder, can we expect this offering to come with puny 155cc engine?

I think we can.

I remember reading somewhere online regarding 'alleged' patented design for vstrom 160.

Also, when I visited a Suzuki showroom just before Diwali folks there were pretty confident about launch of vstrom 250 (with Gixxer 250 engine) in December 2020 along with the BS6 vstrom 650 XT.
