Triumph to support customers by paying for first 3 EMIs

Triumph India has launched an EMI support plan for customers. As part of this, the company will pay for the first three EMIs of models from its Modern Classics range.

The offer is available on the Street Twin, Bonneville T100, Bonneville T120 and the Speedmaster. It is only valid on bookings made in the month of May 2020.

The EMI offer comes at a time when the auto sector is witnessing an unprecedented slowdown. Sales have dried up following the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic. While lockdown restrictions have been eased, customers are likely to be weary to make big purchases.

It comes to around 16,000 per EMI or one can take a 40 K Cash Discount. Nothing lucrative in given conditions.

It will take nudges like this, on the part of OEs, to coax buyers into making purchase decisions. Many potential Triumph buyers will be grappling with the proverbial heart Vs head dilemma. And with the current economic climate, the head tends to have the upper hand.
This is why I think the message is apt: an "assistance over time" narrative to pacify the head to get the heart back in charge!
